DID I MISS SOMETHING?

Why am I being charged insertion fees suddenly on my items, especially when I have 500 free Can listings and 500 free Amer listings and I have a store???

Are GTC not covered under the freebies if you have a store? Are the 30 days? Did this change recently because they were covered before... I listed one lot of buttons, my fees were at $0.00, then they jumped to $0.41 when I listed my second lot. When I went to list my third, they jumped to $0.84 even before I completed the listing.

?? Anyone know what I've missed? A recent update/change I didn't see?

"Are GTC not covered under the freebies if you have a store?"

For insertion fee billing purposes, GTC qre treated the same way as 30 day listings: a seller is charged the listing fee every 30 days.  If eligible to the 50 or 500 "free" listing, then the charge will be $0.00.

Where exactly do you see $0.41 and $0.84?  Those are not "normal" insertion fees.

That's what I thought, Pierre. You know when you list and the final page comes up for you to review your listing, there's a section at the bottom that shows your account fees to date before listing your item. That's where these fees are showing. They are odd numbers, so I thought it had to be the GTC because I'm not doing anything different than what I've always done...

Now, when I create a listing, I simply click "Sell Similar" button to use the same format for each listing... could that be the problem?

Just don't understand how I can pay my account off to a $0.00 balance and suddenly it's adding up these numbers. Happened last month too and I looked everywhere for an answer, and couldn't find it. Paid a hefty bill in the end too which made no sense if you consider the free listings I had privy to and didn't use them all either...

"Paid a hefty bill in the end too"

OK - It is time to take a few minutes and review your last invoice from eBay, line by line.

How much was charged for insertion fees during the month?

How much was charged for FVF during the month?

How much was your store monthly fee?

How much was your TRS rebate (it should be 20% of FVF on transactions (no discount on FVF charged on shipping)

"...pay my account off to a $0.00 balance"

Not sure what you mean.  If you pay your monthly eBay invoice in full on the 7th of the month (for example), it clears all amounts due as of the end of the previous month.  Whatever charges were made to the account during the current month will be shown as balance.  That is quite normal.

Looking at the items you have sold this morning, I think I can explain:

The $0.41 and additional $0.43 most likely represent the FVF charged to your account on sales made this morning - while you were listing other items.

phew... found it!

not only that, Pierre, but a "special duration" charge on items I listed during a promotion... fixed them to GTC so I think that problem is fixed... Thanks so much for your help.

This is why I never even look at promotions. The idea is they get ya in for free, up front, then smack yer little bottom on the back side. Double pun I know.

They count on people forgetting.

Just abover yer running total, it shows what the listing fee is for that listing.
