Hi there! Just did my first sale on ebay and while checking around i just saw they charged me 12.35% fees ( +taxes... ) such a steal... They don't want a piece of cake they want the cherries eh. Anyway whatever it says 12.35% for toys and hobbies category ( i sold trading cards game ) :
The problem is that after researchs i found that on their fees selling policy, toys and hobbies, and collectible card games are a 5% fees !
And that the 12.35% and rule they charged me for is totally other things :
So is there a mistake on my fees charged or am i missing something?

I'm not familiar with the sports card or collectible cards categories but on the fee chart it shows that the 5% fee is for NFT's. When I googled NFT they are described as a type of virtual card on a specific type of network so if I'm reading that right, your cards aren't in that 5% fee category. So I'm fairly sure that you were charged the correct amount.

The 5% fee only applies to NFT's (non-fungible tokens), which is basically an original digital item that can be bought and sold. At first glance, the categories that fall under the 5% section in the fee schedule can look a bit misleading. They do however break down like this:
Category > Item
The item (in bold) is what the 5% applies to, not the category. So in your case, the "CCG NFTs" is what is eligible for a 5% fee, not the "Toys & Hobbies" or "Collectable Card Games" category. Both of these categories (which include the items you are selling) fall under the "Most Categories" part of the fee guide, which is 12.35%.

You are listing under "Collectible Card Games" which is a sub-category under the main "Toys & Hobbies" category. So the "Toys & Hobbies" umbrella description is correct.
The 5% you show is for specific sub-categories (the parts that are bolded).
All of which are NFT related. NFT is digital, not physical.

Thanks i did not took attention to the nft thing. Well i gotta say that 12.35% fees on sale + shipping, + taxes on this ammount, + 0.30$ / listing, ebay fees are absolutly BRUTAL. Loosing around 20% at the end that's abusive

Did not wanted to start a new thread anyone knows why numbers does fit?
I sold only one item since i'm selling things. Item was 19.79$ + 2.98$ shipping ( 22.77$ ), 3.57$ fees for 19.20$ net. Why it says in overview i sold 19.86$, that number does not fit with anything i'm confused about it

Are you listing on dotCA or on dotCOM?
If you are on dotCOM (which is a good idea, being the largest economy in the world) you are listing in US dollars.
And there can be differences, usually only pennies, depending on the time of day that the exchange is calcualted.

Listing on the .ca i'm not offering US or international shipping for now, so only Ca to Ca. Sold a second item and again on overview it says 24.21$ sold, while if i count it's 22.77$ ( - 3.57$ ) + 7.20$ ( -1.36$ ) = 25.04$
Numbers just does not fit on my selling overview that's weird

You are charged on your customer's full payment, which is the financial industry's Standard Practice for payment processing at least since the introduction of the Diner's Club credit card in the early 1950's.
The Entire Payment includes the selling price+shipping charge+ sales taxes.
Note that you do not pay the sales taxes, your buyer does, but because their payment is simplified into one amount, and that whole amount goes through your Managed Payments account, you pay your 40c service fee + 13.5% (average fee) on the full payment.
You do have your Managed Payments account set up right?
Without your chequing account information and additional ID confirmation *, eBay cannot transfer your customer payments to you after the Hold period is up.
