Well, they're at it again. Just printed off an Expedited Parcel USA label and it's been redesigned. The sender's portion is also deeper than before, so you'll find you have to trim off the top margin to get it into a labelope.
One thing I noticed that was particularly odd -- although my parcel weight was entered as 0.940 Kg when preparing the online Paypal label, the box at top right on the printed label (under "Gross Weight") reads 2.976 Kg. What's that all about? Does anyone familiar with Canada Post know if this is a glitch or some mysterious code that only posties understand?

The weight is the volumetric weight based on the dimensions.
VW = l x w x h / 6000
Expedited Parcel uses the higher of true weight and the volumetric weight.
So your item is a light bulky item in a big box.
The weight shown is the volumetric weight used for the shipping cost tables.

Just a correction to the the formula showing dimensions should be in cm, not inches. Another formula exists if inches are used. But it is best to use metric since Canada Post is metric.
