Fedex overcharged me once again

It's getting annoying it's the second time i pick fedex to ship because they offer a better price, then charge me higher than label sold. Most likely because their employees does mistakes on size mesurements. It was shipped with a 16in x 16in x 16in box i purchased from canadian tire, there was no mistake on my end on dimension. And my package was around 5kg, label offered up to 14kg without any increase in price. so it was not the weight. They sold me the label 22.91, then charged me 24.35. It's small amounts but that's very sneaky. Should not be acceptable and we literally cannot do anything when it happen

It also depends on what you are shipping, or buying.

But, I still prefer not to use either, if they work for you, more power to ya...

Re: Fedex overcharged me once again

I've had it go both ways with Fedex. On one shipment they charged me $40 extra for a remote delivery fee - on another they charged me $1.72 less than what was quoted. It all boils down to eBay's integration with their services not being done well.

Re: Fedex overcharged me once again

Yeah Fedex are weasles like that. Same thing happened to me a few times. Last shipment was off by $6.00. I measure and weigh everything before I send it out so I know for a fact that the dimensions and weight were correct. I usually just print off and drop off my packages at the Chit Chats location and never have any problems but because of the snowstorm that was coming, I decided to use the Fedex label rate off Ebay shipping to make it easier but of course somebody over there doesn't know how to use a measuring tape or a weight scale.

Fedex: When it absolutely, positively means you will charged more than what we quote you

Re: Fedex overcharged me once again

I haven't been overcharged with UPS.

I have had packages come in at different prices, a few dollars here or there - but that happens with Canada Post as well. $20 estimate, $23 final price, etc. Things like that. Nothing like some of the Fedex horror stories posted here.

It should be noted that UPS labels are technically estimates, and if the writing is correct are only billed when used.

Re: Fedex overcharged me once again

I think eBay should be fined for this but I know they never will be.

It's against multiple laws in Canada to list one price then charge a different amount after the sale to the customers card.

Competition Act (Federal Law) and Consumer Protection Laws (Provincial & Territorial)

You can't just write a policy on your site saying "I bypass your laws so to bad".

eBay is clearly breaking that law by having FedEx do that on their site, I suggest reporting them to the Competition Bureau of Canada.

You can find a complaint form online for it.
