Get eBay Canada Involved for Tariff Remedies

Since no eBay representatives are actively replying to any issues being discussed in this forum, we need to work together on a way to get eBay involved in all the complexities that are coming our way. I know there is no way to create a petition or anything of the sort - however we're all involved as the US is an important market for us at different levels. So if we can use this post as a place to communicate our concerns and ideas and come up with a way to be heard, that would be great!

Get eBay Canada Involved for Tariff Remedies

My list to start:

Top level, loud notification to US buyers that they will be paying tariffs. They have no clue what's coming.

Highlight Canadian sellers for Canadian buyers - icons, banners, etc.

Work out better shipping discounts for domestic shipping. Work with courriers such as Stallion, get them integrated into calculated shipping flows.

Allow sellers who are opted in to USD currency to switch back to CAD. You can do this on Etsy in 5 minutes. Having to create a new account and lose your history of feedback and customer service is ridiculous.

There is this notice  at the bottom of help page(s). Unfortunately help pages are undated so difficult to confirm when it was added. Majority of ebay users would likely never see. I noticed entirely by accident.

So typical of eBay to put up a cryptic pointless banner that nobody knows is there. My sense is the parent corporation looks at Canadian sellers as a small outpost to the US market, and there are no real efforts made to give Canadian sellers localized tools to do better business and grow. Things are going to be changing worldwide with all the pullback occurring south of the border - I think Canada will come out ahead when the dust settles and new alliances, trade pacts, etc are formed. eBay should read the tea leaves and move away from such a US centric model - they're definitely positioned well to do so.

And redirect Canadian buyers to dot ca with the option to switch to dot com if they wish.  A Canadian seller who does not have the item listed for sale to the USA will not have the listing shown to fellow Canadians if they type in dot com by force of habit (or not even realizing dot ca exisits).
