Has anybody eles here had bad feedback that e-bay refuses to remove even though its untrue ??

Just wondering how many people have had bad feedback left against them that e-bay refuses to remove, even though the feedback is untrue... Where is this so called Seller Protection?

Here is the official feedback removal policy:

http://pages.ebay.ca/help/feedback/remove-withdraw.html

A statement being "untrue" (that is an opinion) is not cause for feedback removal as per policy.

By the way, the negative comment left by the buyer is correct.  He did not get what was shown in the picture (he may have received what was described in the title).

A picture is worth one thousand words.

Use this negative feedback as a lesson to only show what you sell in each listing.

98.8 is a low feedback rating for your category.

You should repair it by doing a lot of Christmas shopping on eBay and pushing that neg well down the page.

And of course by using the neg as a learning experience.

Picture as if you have no words: Describe as if you have no pictures.

I can only add as a buyers view the listing was a bit confusing, but does it warrant a neg of course not, that was mean spirited. All the buyer had to was get a refund, EBay feedback is chain on sellers neck and is flawed to the core.

Why did this buyer think he didn't received what shown in your listing?  Can you clarify it more?

The gallery picture shows quite a few coins but the listing is just for 2 coins.

Most of the OP's listings are like this, pictures of multiple items and only in the description is it (somewhat) clear that you only get  the one (or two) specifically mentioned in the title.

It's a recipe for disaster and it's simply the result of being lazy.

Re: Has anybody eles here had bad feedback that e-bay refuses to remove even though its untrue ??

Putting something in a photographs that is not for sale in that specific listing does not work.

such as -----

A vase was being sold  and to make it more "realistic" plastic flowers were put in the vase.

Seller got negative feedback  because the buyer did not get the flowers that were present in the listing.

--------------------------------------------------------------

There are many sellers that put more in a photograph than is for sale in the listing.

Sometimes  it is described as ... Fee evasion....

Even though all items in the photograph are for sale in different listings.

If one item in the photo sells  then the listing with the some  photo has become  a problem... and becomes  a true example of fee evasion.

Everything in the listing must describe what is for sale in that listing  and ... NOTHING ... else

--------------------------------------------------------

There was a time when a bookseller used a beautiful pair of bookend  to hold up a set of  books.  I wrote to him about what a  potential buyer's might assume,  and the seller then indicated the bookends were not for sale with the books.  Even with a disclaimer  there will always be the possibility of a buyer assuming the bookends came with the sale...

Yikes!!  That is a HUGE mistake and of course I consider it as being "lazy" not to post the right photos or take photos for the specific items for each listing.  Another better wording is "misleading".   What we see, we expect to receive them, period.

You can show a photo of one item (2 item in one photo) with saying one is front and one is back, otherwise don't show 5-7 coins when you are selling only 2, very misleading and confusing.  I don't blame this buyer.

As for this seller, he deserved this negative feedback, no questions.  You cannot post a photo for items for more than 2 items.  I see the other listings with same photos but the titles showed only 2.

Actually this seller need to go back and revise the listings and remove the photos and put in new photos for 2 items only, otherwise he will continue to get more negative feedback.  Good luck.

Actually I find it ironic that you think the negative feedback is untrue when in fact many of your listings are "untrue" which you show more than 2 coins when it is only 2 coins.  You better go to your listings and revise and put in new photos of 2 coins only, otherwise you will get more negative feedback for that "being lazy" action.  Good luck.

Feedback is correct and justified. eBay states to only show what is for sale in the listing as many buyers either do not read, or, have poor English skills and rely on the picture for accuracy, detail, and full disclosure.

Show one thing and send something else?

It is so easy to scan an item that scanning a group at once is a false economy.

You can even lay a lot of coins on the flatbed then edit the larger scan to show just the items you are selling.

And the larger size allows customers to see your wares in greater detail.
