Having a store vs not

Stores were originally meant for experienced sellers with a lot of slow moving products. They are also useful for those who have several different lines of products that don't align well. (Bibles and brassieres, camping equipment and stamp collecting, auto parts and Precious Memories), because the products can be sorted into categories and don't all appear confusingly and at once.

Stores also are cheaper than non-store selling.  One hundred and twenty five listings costs $26.25 to a non-store seller (50 free listings plus 75 more at 35c each) but for $24.95 a Store subscriber can list up to 250* products at no futher charge.

The Store subscriber also gets a quarterly allowance for branded shipping supplies and can put the Store On Vacation, without closing down and then paying to re-open her listings.

BUT

Having a Store does not end any listing restrictions on a new or occasional seller.

Stores do not get better placement in Search.

*And actually double that, if the subscriber lists on both dotCA and dotCOM.

Bottom line is that it's all about fees. Listing fees are lower with a Store and fvf's will be either slightly lower of quite a bit lower depending on the category that you sell in.

In addition there are the intangible benefits such as Vacation Settings and the ability to have your own custom Categories to organize your listings to make it easier for buyers to consider purchasing multiple items.

It is definitely not a magic pill to give you better exposure and more traffic.

I see you currently have 170 listings, unless those are part of a free listing promotion you could save "some" money by having a Basic Store (not a Starter Store).
