Store was closed for a few days, more than 5, reopened yesterday, and nary a sale even up till now!
In all the time they've had stores, reopening the store normally caused a bump in views and sales, heck last year when I took July and August off, had to reopen and immediately reclose the store because it was more than 30 days and two people bought something in the hour while it was cycling!
Maybe something has changed in the algorithm again, I do recall in the early days one could cheat and close and reopen the store almost immediately to create the bump. Something changed to make that not work, maybe now the duration is longer, although my store was closed longer than 5 days....

I'm at a grand total of 4 sales for the month. They really need to stop tinkering with the algorithm. Used to be creating listings regularly caused a spike in sales. Even that has no effect anymore.

My sales are WAY down this month (although to be fair I've been working on inventory and taxes so I haven't been listing much). June was terrible for me last year as well.

Everything except eBay is normal sales wise.
Still no sales, between reopening the store, adding a bunch of BINs and starting back auctions, it is truly different than anytime before. Usually there's a burst sometimes shorter than others but this is the first time it has been zero and for so long after a reopening.
I checked and I see my recommended promoted rate is 13% so it continues to rise. (I've made no changes to mine, they're all as they were before the time away).
It will take about a week to get the bag of tricks running full speed, so I'll know more then, but normally I have the surge then the slow build up again afterward.
The auctions up so far are behaving normally as they were before.
As others mentioned, normally adding BINs creates sales, so to speak, that's flat at the moment, but I did notice leading up to the time away that there weren't as many sales during my BIN listing time as there was in the past.

My Ebay sales are the worst they have ever been. Without exaggeration. 2 small sales in the last 33 days. Normal for this time of year (excluding pandemic) would be 10-12 ish.
I'm not one for conspiracy theories but my gut feeling is that ebay is (somehow) reducing visibility on non promoted listings (perhaps no google feed) in an attempt to force everyone into promoting their listings so Ebay can rake in an extra few percent in fees.
My sales slowdown was sudden and dramatic in mid May, has continued to this day and is uprecedented. It is also only happening to me on Ebay.... So something's up.
Even during the 2008 financial crisis Ebay sales were nowhere near this bad. I know the economy is supposed to be bad, inflation out of control yadda yadda but honestly, there have been WAY tougher financial times over the last 20 years and Ebay sales never tanked like they have now.

If that is their strategy they are doing a terrible job of it, I was on Time Away for two weeks in May and June has been my best month in maybe 2 years (I don't promote on my primary selling accounts).
As far as a "bump" coming off Time Away, in my opinion that is an eBay myth that has never existed, the only bump one might get is from buyers who tried to purchase during Time Away, made note of the return date and took action at that time.
