My spending of my quarterly store coupon has been delayed because of problems/inability to buy certain items from the Canadian shipping supplies store (tissue paper and the "thank you" cards).
Today I gave up waiting and went to purchase what I could, and discovered that the coupon only applies to the item costs, so in my case I have up to $210 worth of stuff I can buy with my coupon. Assuming I find $200 worth, the $26 taxes I have to pay when I complete the transaction, ie the coupon only applies to the pre-tax items and I'll be billed the $26 to my paypal account.
To anyone collecting HST/GST it is just more paperwork because eventually we get it back as an ITC, but this is new to me at least since last quarter so I'm putting it up here so folks know.....
This is better than if it was built into the prices before given the ITC aspect, however I didn't notice the prices being any cheaper than before....
