There was an indication by Ebay Canada staff that Ebay's Delivery Estimates would be updated (by Ebay) at some time. That is what is needed now, today. This easy step helps every Canadian seller right now.
The reality is that delivery is currently delayed a week in Canada and about the same to USA.
For example:
Canada Post Domestic Lettermail from 2-6 days to 9-13 days.
Canada Post Lettermail USA from 4-7 days to 11-14 days.
and all the other Canada Post estimates from Canada...
Items Not Received and Late Delivery strikes are based on these estimates. How about we start dealing in reality?

We are working on making changes to EDDs based on recent developments.

Deliveries delayed a week????? While I do not have any packages in the system from eBay sales as I have decided not to list anything with the strikes still ongoing I do have some packages from private sales in the system. All three were mailed the same day and that was 14 days ago and 2 were headed to southern Ontario and one to Manitoba. No one has been delivered yet. Tracking just keep scanning everyday " Delivery may be delayed due to labour disruption " and Canada post moves the delivery date forward one day each passing day. You would think they would at least scan the packages in such a way the send at least knows where it is stuck in the system.
I am also surprised at the number of Canadian sellers not mentioning the postal delays in new listings. either they have no clue to what is going on or do not care.
Also there have been a number of auctions I wanted to bid on but due to the postal delays I do not feel like playing the game of " my package may show up some day and having useless tracking info ".

It was just supposed to be an example. A 7-day delay might be not long enough now or certainly next week.
Parcels are being delayed even longer so updates to those EDD would have to be still more days.

Any change been made of EDD?
This needed change would really be helpful to ebay sellers in Canada.

Hi @ight.coin - estimated delivery dates were adjusted on the 15th of this month in light of the news of the growing backlog.
Depending on how things continue to develop, further extensions of estimated delivery dates will be made.
We're working to protect your reputation and seller performance automatically while this happens - which is why CS has been instructed to extend wait times on any escalated Not Received requests to allow for delivery, as well as the automatic removal of any late shipments during this time.

Late January is 60 days from now -- NOT 90 days.

My main concern was how this has been handled from the get go. Unless I have been miss-interpreting the various announcements/responses from eBay and the powers that be, about this postal disruption, we were not supposed to have our accounts affected by something that we had no control of and that customers would be kept completely informed as to what was going on. There definitely was a delay letting customers know that there problems with potential deliveries. On the other side of the coin, eBay would be proactive to handle any complaints AS they happened, automatically. It now appears that if we do receive any complaints from customers regarding delayed delivery it's entirely up to us as sellers to contact eBay and get them resolved on a case by case basis. As sellers, we all know how long(insert the muzak that never ends) it actually takes to resolve most situations with eBay customer service and how much stress trying to deal with them. As others have stated several times, this definitely has not been business as usual for sellers and buyers for several weeks!!!
See snippet of an announcement below.
eBay is working with internal teams to monitor and adjust estimated delivery dates and eBay Money Back Guarantee timelines to ensure that you are not penalized for late shipments due to the labour disruption. If the threatened disruption occurs, we will contact your impacted buyers in Canada and the US to inform them of possible delays.

The Canada Post estimate is based on continuing rotating strikes.
So 90 days is NOT a realistic time range for eBay to use.
And would completely kill sales -- who wants to wait 90 days for something mailed from Canada of all places.
Some shipping reports:

I believe Canada Post ships to the USA from four terminals.
Vancouver/Richmond
Montreal
Winnipeg
Toronto/Gateway/Missisauga
Of those Gateway seems to be the one with the most backup and the one where there have been the most strikes.
Of course, Toronto /Golden Horseshoe is also where most Canadians live.
However, if the shipment is going to one of the other three terminals, it has a much better chance of being in the buyer's hands before Christmas than if the seller is in Ontario.

So what do you think a realistic estimate for domestic lettermail within Canada should be right now? Mine still says my handling time plus the regular Estimated Delivery dates. And I'm not completely confident that is adequate at the moment.
I suppose we are left to trust that ebay Canada is keeping an eye on this.
(Muffled groan.)

I know Tyler has said above that the EDD were adjusted on Nov 15 but I can't see it with my own stuff, to be honest. What am I overlooking?

The last 2 packages I mailed were on November 13 - large package Expidited from Ontario to Alberta and Saskatchewan. They still havent arrived, and tracking still says "Delivery may be delayed due to postal strike". One buyer is upset, the other is understanding. That is two weeks and counting.
I quit listing and am not mailing anything out anymore.

The joys of shipping from east to BC or BC and east!! All it takes is a weather situation or a major accident and big time delays. If it is in a truck en route, no way for accurate updates until it arrives at its destination and shows out for delivery. Personally, have lost track of the number of days of rotating strikes in Vancouver/Calgary and that's throwing a major wrench into accurately guessing when packages will arrive. Personally, before the mail strike I've had packages coming from Richmond take anywhere from 2 to 5 days by Expedited and in a couple of cases received overnight. Canadapost did have priority space booked on flights in the past(probably still the case), so if they have the room it sneaks its way on a flight and you luck out you see the next day. Luck of the draw.

Canada Post not only has airplane space booked daily, but owns a few planes itself, or did a decade ago.
Trucks are used between cities, as is rail, but most cross-country mail goes by air.
