I received an e-check payment from a buyer on February 20th, it said it would clear by the 28th, we are now 5 days later and still not cleared. No reply from buyer. What do I do?

Maybe it bounced. What does your papyal activity line state? I'd call them. Is the buyer located in Germany by chance? They have a different sort of arrangement with paypal and their banks.

It is for a Canadian buyer, it used to be on my Paypal activity page, but its gone, but when I open the transaction on Paypal it says "pending, don't mail yet"

It would also be a good idea to contact the buyer and explain the delay in shipping.
The money would be taken out of her bank account immediately (if there are sufficient funds).
You might also want to suggest that the transaction be cancelled, without saying anything critical of the buyer of course.
Also suggest attaching a credit card to the PP account to prevent this happening in future.
Just wondering, does an e-cheque that cannot be covered by the bank account, lead to an NSF charge to the buyer by her bank? Those can run $25 easy.

It seems that she might always use e-check, she has over 600 feedbacks, so she is not new to this. I will give it a few more day and then call. I have emailed her, no response.

I have had e-checks take 10 days to clear, so it is not out of the norm.. also from a Canadian buyer.
If it doesn't clear you are also notified, so hang tight no reason to worry yet.

I had one on Feb 22 which took 9 days to clear.

So today was the 16th date since the e-check was sent. I have sent 3 messages without a reply, so I today I decided to cancel the payment, and opened an unpaid request. Well, about half an hour later, I see that the buyer has purchased another lot of the same yarn, and paid for it. Now what do I do?
I hate for her to have an unpaid fault against her, but I would like my fees back for that first lot of yarn. Does anyone have an idea how I could go about this?

Call ebay Customer Service and ask them to close the Unpaid Item and swap it for a Cancel Order instead. Explain the payment problem and that you don't want to antagonize a good buyer. Did you call Paypal for an explanation of the reason it was taking so long for the original e-cheque to clear?

Thank you for your reply. No, I didn't call eBay, I sent 3 messages to the buyer instead to ask if there was a problem with her bank. I will phone eBay tomorrow, I don't want her to have a unpaid mark against her.
