I'm just a guy selling things. No business, etc. Selling as an individual. Never exceed the free listings limit.
Here's a recent sale (to Quebec): Item cost - $2.50. Shipping - $4.00. eBay fees = $1.25.
No idea how they get that. I've tried every combination of $0.30, 12.35%, GST, HST, etc. and can't come to $1.25. There is no indication that the seller was charged any tax, either.
Can someone figure this out? Thanks.

If you are in Managed Payments:
$6.50 x 0.1235 + 0.30 plus 13% Ontario HST = $1.25
eBay.CA has been collecting GST/HST on fees since July 2017 (before Managed Payments)

Because you are in Managed Payments you will no longer see eBay charges for sales on your Paypal account.
You may still see charges for Promoted Listings or for Store subscriptions if you opt for those services.
