I think I've got the scammer buyer.

So I've shipped the item by Letter-Mail to the buyer in the states a month ago but the buyer now claims that he didn't receive the item. It's really strange that I've shipped many items to US including Puerto Rico with the same shipping method but I've never heard anyone who claimed that they didn't receive the item except this one(Cle Elum, Washington). Another strange thing is that the buyer doesn't have any feedback except the one from me even though he's been a member for 3 years.

I don't ship multiple items a day and the items shipping to US I always drop them off at the Post Office, so I get receipts with postal codes.

Last week, the buyer sent me a message saying he didn't receive the item and now he opened the request. I just sent the message to the buyer to give more the time. It seems like the guy knows the process to get the money. Funny thing is it's only worth $14. Do scammers trick sellers only to get $14? How pathetic.

I'm gonna lose it, am I? It's too bad because I just became a top rated seller.

I was going to contact to ebay but then from the information I googled it seems like it's just waste of time. I mean if they are going to support buyers 100%, then why bother.

Any chance we can get those dolls added to the supplies store? Would be a better use of the freebie coupons that come with store accounts.

On the whole, I’ve been very fortunate on the ‘bad actor’ front in the last few years. Reason? I switched to parcels by Tracked Packet only; I bribe each buyer against causing difficulty by killing them with a trifecta of kindness through fast, subsidized shipping, good packaging, and a free surprise gift with purchase.

I’ve had one INR in the past three (?) years which was being mailed untracked to a weirdly addressed parcel locker in Australia and as soon as I looked at the order coming in, I knew I was in for difficulty but I ignored the alarm bells and went ahead and mailed it anyway. Sure enough, the ‘what’s my tracking number?’ message from the buyer was followed by an INR plus a request to mail a replacement to another address, and my subsequent call to eBay Customer Service who took my Report Buyer complaint and advised me to refund instead. I lost $29 CAD on that one.

In reality, this is the first time any buyer has tried this particular type of hustle with me so I should be counting my blessings.

I know it this current situation is a scam because I have a system in place for packing bundle orders to prevent it from happening and it is absolutely foolproof. Except for when I’ve been cast as the fool. I know I’m being defrauded. Due to my foolproof system of packing bundle orders and due to everything this buyer has said and done which, of course, I cannot share because it would violate Community rules and also help write the How To Defraud an EBay Seller Handbook. After a few years, I figured out how to combat the INR Fraud chapter so at least I can rest assured of that.
