Hello,
Just a quick question.
Does having an item listed as "Good till canceled" remove the web search ?
Like this item i have for sale : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/221159789743?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1586.l2649
When i search on the web : GOSS URBANITE FOLDER NIPPS #2C88229 only off-the-board relink to e-bay sites appear, not even one true e-bay hit. Those off-the-board do mostly rebound the searcher to e-bay, which i am not complaining, but when i research something on the web to buy, i will always look for true e-bay links before anything else.
Some of our items will appear on web searches, but most don't. Before all our items where web-searchable.
Anyone know why ?
Thank you

"nice to see it implemented again but i doubt that would happen. "
Like many such referral programs, some sellers abused it and eBay eventually pulled the plug when the cost of the program did not generate the additional revenues expected.
The original idea was to bring new buyers on eBay from sellers own website (that is how I got the rebates).

That is the problem.
There would never be New Rules if people did not abuse the system on eBay & everywhere else.
Sad but unfortunately reality.

BB, the world is made up of a lot of differrent people. To para-phraze George Carlin: Consider that the average IQ is 100, which means half are below that. Yeas, I know all about statistics and mean, median, average, etc. The basic concept is still applicable.
The same sort of concept applies to morality. There are the ultra-puritans, average, and totally devoid. The Mrs tends to be a U-P, so, she says "Talk to my husband". She then gets a drink and a bowl of popcorn.
Then there are the mentally ill. I have an ex who is undiagnosed bipolar. Pretty much came to a head when I had to have the police remove her, twice. Her morality shifted with her disease.
I worked with people who stole, because, "Everyone is doing it".
My considered opinion is that those who scream the loudest about rules are usually the ones breaking them. The rest of us simply sigh and go about our business.

You forgot the Professional Victims, the ones that blame everyone else for all their problems.
These people never take responsibility for their actions, never look in the mirror & view who is the common demoninator.
I have a sister like that.

Good catch. Yeah, the "Not me" crowd. Seems like most of the posters over on SC dot com fit that category. Seems they all go from TRS Powerseller to permanently suspended with absolutely no warning. I do not think so.
Lots of folks like to point fingers at ebay and scream "YOU! YOU! YOU!"
Yeah, they should do it in front of a mirror.
