I have always used PayPal when I purchase items on eBay. I sold an item last night & got a message from the buyer this morning saying "all I have is Mastercard & they do not accept it".  Would this be correct or is it a question of buyer regret?

It's wrong.

The only card I know of  as an occasional problem is Discover, which is not usable inCanada although it is widely used in theUSA.

Encourage your buyer to try again, perhaps using VISA or a debit card.

He may also have an expired card. Those creep up on you.

or the buyer may not realize they can pay through PayPal without having an account but don't know how to pay through PayPal with a credit card or debit card...
