And the confusion hasn't been removed with those Seller Hub totals. where shipping/taxes are considered a sellers profit when in actuality they are only a category eBay/Paypal charges fees on. The steady removal of features we previously relied on is just complicating everything for sellers and buyers alike, for that matter so someone can turn around and call these "improvements".

I don't use anything eBay has for data except I print off a eBay summary of my Seller Fees and how much I paid in GST for that month. Everything else is PayPal based. My website and eBay sales are all through PayPal so I just have to print off my Monthly Sales Reports, Financial Reports and a Monthly Summary of the items I sold.
Managed Payments is going to throw a huge wrench into my perfectly efficient and straight forward accounting system.

Sale price is not a seller's profit.
INCOME: Sale price + shipping & handling charged
EXPENSES: Cost of item + cost of shipping & packaging + eBay fees + PayPal fees
PROFIT: Income minus Expenses.

Prior to the Seller's Hub the breakdown for sales was Sales Total + Shipping Total = Total.
Now it's broken down as Item Total & Grand Total. My point being why did the Shipping Total need to be removed???
Overnight I had a .$10.00 sale to a customer in Nova Scotia with 21.94 using calculated shipping. To restate this $21.94 is NOT profit. It is only a line item that eBay/Paypal is charging fees on. That is my issue with their calculation. As it is there is a limited margin on the $10.00 sale. As as seller, one can reasonably add only so much to the shipping. That is where the frustration lies.

Rate Displayed using Calculated shipping to customers postal code 22.10 by Expedited with built-in 1.00 handling charge.
Paypal calculation for Expedited shipping 21.80
Shippo calculation for Expedited shipping 21.61
Imaginary profit using Shippo 0.33 ???
Actual package size used for calculation less than what was entered in the original listing.

PS. Is anyone else getting strange results between calculated shipping and the amount being charged in either Shippo or Paypal?

While these accounting questions should probably be given to tyler@ebay for tomorrow's Chat, I also think the business sellers here should be adding these questions to the list for the eBay Canada executives.
I wonder if they think all sellers are just happy amateurs like me, and not sophisticated business owners like many of you guys (and dolls).

Hi @lotzofuniquegoodies - I'm happy to have a look at the situation to review the eBay calculator's version of things, but I won't be able to speak to PayPal or Shippo's processes.
If you send me a PM with the item number, the buyer's postcode, and the actual measurements of the package (not the ones you put in the listing) I'll do some troubleshooting.
Thanks!
