Mystery of the Missing Photo Uploads (A new Ebay glitch continuation)

Here's the latest issue:

I create a new draft for a product I plan to sell, after the information is typed it and the file saves, the area where I upload the photos disappears.

It's not doing this for my saved files (photos added or no) before today but anything created today it does.

It's going to be another day of production out the window.

For now, I wait.

For any and all listings I use "Sell Similar"... Today I have been using "Sell similar" to create some listings for future use and have had no issues/no problems uploading pictures.

I tried your work around but the same issue occurs. Thanks for the suggestion though.

As soon as I save the draft and come back to it it removes the photo upload, even if there were already photos in place.

I have tried both Firefox and Microsoft Edge as browsers. It happens in both.

It's fine with files created before today but anything created today, it's an issue.

I just tested Ebay using Chrome on my Samsung phone and the disappearing photo upload isn't an issue.

If I want to upload, I'll need to create a fresh file using my phone (My phone won't support the format used to type up the draft on my PC) and go it from there or type up on my PC, load photos with my phone and then submit for sale on my PC.

Ugh.

I have been doing up several listings yesterday and today, all without problems. I always use sell similar and I also updated some listings that had ended. I noticed right away that the "Delete photos" (which is always the step I do first) had a bright red button. I though "huh, that's new but everything was okay.

Then I hit a snag when I went to do another one and there were no photos showing anywhere to delete and/or add. In my case I hit the Refresh button on the top and the photos magically reappeared. I've done a few since then and no issues (knock on wood). It was a quick fix for me so I thought I'd mention it.

I do my listings with Safari on a Mac, always with sell similar.

Just as an added note I use a desktop computer and have been using Firefox for years...

I read a thread from February where people were having similar issues.

@ricarmic said he had no issues (he's a Google Chrome).

Chrome was working for me on my phone, why not on my computer. Nope, Chrome isn't working either.

The photos appear for the dfraft just before you open it up, but as soon as it's opened, the photos upload disappears.

I tried your workaround @msau4301 of refreshing while in editing and it works for about half of the refresh attempts.

For now I have a temp solution.

Thank you.

You're not imagining this @msau4301 . And it's not an OS dependent issue. While resuming a couple of 'Sell Similar' drafts on a Win 10 laptop running FireFox the entire Photo Editing block failed to appear until I refreshed, although it did not immediately reappear. After a minute or so those photo tools finally popped back in.

Likeliest reason: some SYI code update that was still proliferating through the system while we were editing. Seems fine now, although *coincidentally* I now have a Win 10 update awaiting install/restart...

My windows update came last night and  a computer tech acquaintence advised earlier this morning, that if  had not done the update to be sure to do so....perhaps that is a factor?

I think your tech acquaintance might be right about this one @mrdutch1001 .

Sometimes on-the-fly system updates aren't merely annoying...

Hopefully these and other issues that are being routinely reported as of late on both boards are NOT interconnected to the New Listing View you announced that was in the turnpike? There seems to be more glitches than normal. Recently it has become extremely difficult to confirm what is an update or if it is something else.

Yeah Lotz,

I reported it to Ebay via phone. They created a ticket for their tech department to have a look at the issue.

I haven't creating a listing over the past few days, perhaps it's fixed?

It was causing issues on Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
