I have had 5 calls and 4 email exchanges with FedEx Canada but they do not believe that there is such an agreement! I still went on and registered, and filled out the form, then in the end I was not sure if the rate indicated included discount or not so I called FedEx again, asked them to go over it with me. I was lucky this time, one person did go over it, acknowledged that the form was properly filled out, but couldn't tell me if was going to get a discount. Her idea was that I should ship it for $204 as shown, and hope that I would get the discount once the item is delivered, that is if I was going to get the discount! Any help?? Thank you in advance.

I think the announcement - made on eBay.com (USA) - covers domestic shipments within the USA and "brokerage inclusive" shipments to Canada (that is NOT the economy rate).
http://announcements.ebay.com/2011/06/new-fedex-savings-program-for-ebay-sellers/
I checked several search engines and cannot find anything concrete about a specific eBay-Canada and FedEx agreement.

Thank you so much...but, I have seen that page, and read many others, yet FedEx agents do not believe me, even have given then the link to the agreement. So, I thought I can bypass them and do it all on-line by myself, but when I came to the last line where I am suppose to accept the rate I had to stop: There was no info showing my discount.

How much would Canada Post -> Priority Post cost for comparison?
How much would UPS cost for comparison?
And what is the PP discount for that service?

In this weeks weekly forum with eBay Canada, raphael from eBay Canada mentioned a recent new FedEx ebay partnership.
post 3
This is the first I hear of issues with USPS. We'll keep an eye on it, thanks for flagging this.
Obviously this won't be a solution that will be ideal for every seller, but we've recently partnered with FedEx Canada to launch a pricing program exclusive for Canadian eBay sellers. They've set some really aggressive pricing for Canadian sellers on their FedEx Express services to Canadian, US and international addresses.
Since this is a public forum I cannot post the enrollment link here, but if anyone reading this is interested to know more, please reach me via email.
So try emailing raphael@ebay.com as suggested above. Use email and not ebay messages.

I enrolled in this fedex/ebay.ca thing about 6 months ago. You need to link a credit card to it. The only reason we went for it is sometimes we sell rather large wide car tires and half the time they are too heavy for Canada Post. When listing there is the option of fedex as well as Canada post .
As far a I know everybody we know got the invite the same day. Fedex itself is of course oblivious to any such partnership. We have tried speaking to them about it and they say we are mistaken since there is no such thing.

Thank you, I will email you. I have the proof that FedEx is lousy and irresponsible...! I guess you meant FedEx when you wrote USPS?
I have only one large item listed which I can not ship by Canada Post so have to deal with it, somehow, perhaps even delete it, and after that I will never list anything I can not ship with CanadaPost! This is very upsetting for me, my buyer is waiting for her item and I am here calling FedEx.. emailing FedEx, calling eBay, all week long and getting nowhere!
Yesterday afternoon, I talked to an agent at FedEx again, she connected me to their Tech Support, and this was the nicest and most intelligent lady/; She stayed on-line with me and we both arrived to the end of the form yet there was no discount. She didn't know what to do that is why she connected me to a Customer Service agent. And, this time, this agent promised to get to the bottom of this and call me this morning, but no call, nothing from them!
Some of you might think I am greedy and delaying my shipment, that I should ship it with regular rate, but it is not so: I charged $128,00 for shipping and have to pay $404.00 without a discount! I am also to pay the Brokerage pay in advance. I checked with them twice before I have listed my item, they said it would cost me $125.00-$130.00, including everything.
This is useless, Ebay has not helped me making a big deal out of this agreement, what good is to have an agreement that is not used? I trusted Ebay when I charged my buyer!
Ebay had to link this service to PayPal, or deal with the form themselves!

Thank you ladybug. I have linked my credit card, it is in my account. FedEx forms does not acknowledge this agreement, FedEx representatives on the phone deny it. Only, one person from Customer Service agreed with me through on-line communication, and replied my emails 4-5 times, but he/she is not taking the next step of bringing this to the attention of the decision makers and follow my case to the end.

And what is the PP discount for that service?
CanadaPost does not ship over 65 lbs.
Purolator does only business pick ups.
UPS is $473.00, without discount, can only get discount if you are a Power Seller. I charged $128.00 to my buyer.

I see some replies here with links to the discount. I have been using the discount since the first day it was released by simply clicking the link and applying it to my already registered FedEx account.
I have phoned FedEx Canada about the rates a couple of times and half of the time they said, " I do not know what you are talking about". As stated, they seem not to know of the agreement which I do not know how.
I later than got a hold of a live chat agent on the US website, she kindly checked my account and saw the discounts applied, and said the discounts are showing permanent due to the setup of the account.
I would go under "Get rates and transit times" while you are logged into FedEx.ca and make a fake rate to see if the discounts show up.
You will find the biggest discounts under FedEx Economy, as stated in the agreement but Overnight options also have the discount.
Cheers!:)

I also forgot to mention in my other post, check out flagshipcompany.com
Open up and account with them, one of there reps will phone you in the matter of minutes after submitting a quick form. From than on the rep will help set the account up for you or with you while you are on the phone with them.
You are opened to exclusive UPS,FedEx and Purolator rates. You do not have to pay upfront, you print your labels and an invoice will be emailed to you weeks later. You can either pay via credit/debit card or by cheque.
I was told from one of the reps that UPS takes a couple of days to ship with due to their policies. But FedEx and Purolator, you can be printing labels as soon as you open the account.
Since you are in a scramble and need to ship the item out ASAP, try to make the account with Flagship. You can printing labels minutes after your account has been open!
I do not want to sound like I am advertising their service, but honestly, I really want other sellers to use it because their rates and services make shipping easier. Plus there User Interface is so easy to navigate through
Here is the link : https://smartship.flagshipcompany.com/company/register?lang=en
Hope this helps! Cheers!:)

Yes, there is an agreement made in between eBay Canada and FedEx Canada which Ebay flashes out sometimes when you log in, But, You can not find if you search in the Help section, it is ironic...! Beside, eBay sent me an email informing this agreement. What is sickening is that it is also posted at FedEx Canada web site yet they deny it!
This is the email I got from FedEx, as confirmation:
Dear XXXXXXXX: The user ID that you created is: XXXXXXXX You have opened a new FedEx account online. Due to sensitivity of account information we are not inserting your account number into this email. If you forget or misplace your account number, you can get it when you access your profile at any time by clicking My Profile. Your FedEx account, login ID and password allow you to take advantage of convenient and simple FedEx tools that make shipping easy. To learn about these tools, visit the fedex.ca Resource Centre >. Thank you. |

I did not need to do fake tests, I went over twice with FedEx reps. When the discount does not appear on the form then only way to clear it up is to email or call their Sales Agents,,,,,and they know nothing and they do not care!

That sounds like you are using an Express service where the shipper pays brokerage and duty. Have you tried comparing the Ground service which puts those costs on to the recipient?
It's been years since I used FedEx , but the cost difference between express and standard services as I recall was partly speed and partly the pre-payment of border fees by the shipper.

I see what you mean.
What I usually do is run some random rates to check out the different services.
I guess not all of the CS reps at FedEx were notified about the agreement. I still do not understand why though?
Hope you come to a solution!
Cheers!:)

This all just way too funny, aside from being another pathetic fail. The link that has been on the front page of ebay Canada for quite some time now leads to the web address below and a page that you can see, from thne screenshot, clearly identifies the program as being for "Canadian" ebay sellers. I was going to enroll but got to the point where it asked for a credit car and seeing all of the problems decided to terminate there as I saw no need to give them my cc info if this is just a non-functioning mess.
