Do you have a link to the promotion?

The link says
Who's eligible?
This Promotion is available by invitation only. Sellers that are invited to participate will have received an email and/or a message in My eBay. The Promotion is then activated with the seller's qualifying eBay user ID after the seller activates the Promotion from the invitation email or on the Promotion landing page. The Promotion is for invited sellers only and is not transferable.
A seller must receive an email or message and activate. My experience is that I receive a message or email late in the first day of the promo or not at all. So I might be invited and never know since eBay communication on promos are glitchy.
Maybe if I am invited it will show automatically in My Bay Promotional Offers ??? I get about 50+% of all promos but I do not remember activating a promo. Promos just show up in the My eBay Promotional Offers.
Curious as to what happens in a promo that you have to activate. Anyone ever have to activate a promo?

If you click on the "Activate Now" from the link supplied above, you get:
You've accepted the offer "Pay no insertion fees for up to 5,000 fixed price listings".
The promotion does not yet show in Selling Manager (or "my eBay"") since it starts tomorrow.

widgetc - thank you for posting the link.

I clicked on the Activate Now in the link above and got
Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.
So I assume I am not invited. Too bad, next time.

"So I assume I am not invited"
That is too bad.
I have not been invited to the last three invitational promotions - when I could have used a promotion.
Now I (maybe) got invited (no official invitation received yet) while I am getting ready to close my eBay store in the next few days until next year.
Oh well, life does go on.

I read that category limits still apply. I wish they would be clearer on these specials.

From this line
All existing selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) still apply, and may exclude and prevent you from creating the maximum number of listings in this Promotion.

Yes, the fixed price is very limited for a lot of people again.

Read all of the selling limit link and the categories are also there, hence why I said not very clear. I am not prepared to find out the hard way, and no invite yet any way.

Tried the link, looks like I'm not invited either. And well the stupid category limit would make this useless for me anyway.

I do not think that the category limit mentioned in the promo refers to the fixed price option not being available in some of the categories where fixed priced listings are usually not at option during a promotion. What I believe that the promo is talking about is if a person has a category limit of say 500 listings in the stamps category. Then they could only list 500 items in that category and no more than that. I could be wrong about this, but that is the way it reads to me. After midnight tonight I will test out my theory and report back here. As I plan on listing just over 3000 items in the collectibles category on Ebay @ ca.

No email or notice at My ebay, but when I used this link shows - You've accepted the offer "Pay no insertion fees for up to 5,000 fixed price listings". YES!
Usually I receive email one day later, or not at all.

You are most welcome Pierre. Your advice has helped me more than once.
By the way this came on store ID.

I just did a test, and it appears that the promo works for collectibles at a fixed price. I say it "appears" because the normal counter is not working for listings on the CDN site. The only way I can tell that I am not being charged is my fees have not moved, and I have surpassed my normal store allotment for the month so all is good to go.

Once again, I have NOT received an email from eBay advising of the promotion.
Yet, I am eligible to the promotion as evidenced in my Selling Manager

This problem of lack of notification for Canadian sellers has been mentioned several times over the last three months. The staff at eBay is still ignoring the issue.
In addition to the lack of communication from eBay, there has been a technical problem (bug or glitch) with the information provided in the Selling Manager Summary Page - "Promotional Offers" block at right - whenever eBay offers a promotion requiring acceptance - like this one.
If the seller checks Selling Manager on eBay.com, the information for eBay.ca or eBay.cafr does not show up.
This problem only occurs when sellers need to accept a promotion.
Since that problem only affects Canadian sellers using both eBay.ca/cafr and eBay.com I expect no priority will ever be given to it and it will never be addressed. We will have to live with it.
