New promo to start tomorrow, early notice. Does not appear to have the usual restrictions.

This Promotion does not apply to the following: items listed in eBay’s auction-style format, Good ’Til Cancelled durations, eBay Motors Passenger Vehicles, Motorcycles, Boats, Power Sports, Other Vehicles, Motors Local Market, Real Estate, Commercial Printing Presses, Concession Trailers & Carts, Imaging & Aesthetics Equipment, Heavy Equipment or Classified Ad listings.

"Since that problem only affects Canadian sellers using both eBay.ca/cafr and eBay.com I expect no priority will ever be given to it and it will never be addressed. We will have to live with it. "
Yes, I've got to the point where I watch for 'skylar' to announce an upcoming promotion, and then the next morning it usually shows up on my seller Summary page. I've clicked on the "Activate" button there, and all seems in order.
This is the kind of promo I like -- fixed price and none of my categories are excluded -- hooray!

Hi rose-dee - if you check your Selling Manager (or "my eBay') on eBay.com do you see the promotion for 5,000 free listings ?

Actually, I've never tried accessing my Selling Manager on .com before -- when I tried it just now, I got a message saying "You are not subscribed to Selling Manager". On following the link to "subscribe", I ended up on a page that attempted to upgraded me to "Selling Manager Pro" at $15.95/month! I quickly hit the back button.
So, no, I don't seem to be able to see any information about this promo on .com. But then I normally do all my eBay listing and organizing through .ca, so it wouldn't occur to me to look elsewhere for these announcements.

There's nothing showing about this promo on My eBay either, although I am able to see my Sold, Active, etc. items.

"I normally do all my eBay listing and organizing through .ca"
In such instance you need not worry about it.
However, many Canadian sellers use both eBay.ca and eBay.com to take advantage of the "free" listings - basic without store - with store - or promotional. That is where the information problem occurs.

Me too! However it is not available to me for eBay.com. I signed on eBay.com and no luck. Darn! It is strange that eBay would do that as it happened to me twice this year!! Sigh!!

"Me too! However it is not available to me for eBay.com. "
Do not worry about it.
If you are eligible on eBay.ca, you can list on eBay.com with no listing fees even if it does not show in the "promotional offers" panel. That was the point of my post.
The problem is not about the promotion., It is about the lack of giving full information on both sites as most promotions do.

My selling manager on .ca shows the number of free listings I have used so far in the promotion and my selling manager on .com shows the number of free listings I have used on .com.

To have selling manager on both .com and .ca you have to subscribe to it on each site. There is no charge for it but yes, there is a charge for selling manager pro.
I should mention that I didn't see the promo on .com until I actually listed something.

I did tried to post one on eBay.com and it came up saying "5,000..." and of course to my delght and submit it and check my account for promotions and it showed 1/4999!! I am happy.
Strange that I don't need to click "active" button to get it like I do on eBay.ca!
I get the promo saying on eBay.ca but nothing for eBay.com. I usually received the promos in the past showing both eBay.ca and eBay.com with date and times but this promo only for eBay.ca. However I am happy that I can post or relist or both on both sites.
I have different items for ebay.ca and different other items on eBay.com, so I will knew which items on with sites, making it easy for me to work on or follow.
I like this promo than the last one. I didn't like the last one which you can post or relist only up to 500 per day and then I have to sit on my hands until the next day to post or relist another 500 and again and so on for the next 7 days. I don't like this one!! There was one day that I had to be away when I could have post or relist them!
With this promo here, I can post or relist all day and don't have to do them on the other day when I am out of the city or etc. Thanks.

"Strange that I don't need to click "active" button to get it like I do on eBay.ca!"
Not really.
It is ONE promotion. Once you accept it you can list to eBay.com and/or eBay.ca
The "bug" as mentioned earlier is that eBay does not provide information for both sites on both sites - as they usually do for other promotions or store "free" listings, etc...

I am using this promotion to add some items but I notice that it also allows you to have the item automatically relisted up to 3 times if it doesn't sell - and it's free to relist.
I'm hoping that it really does relist it for free since in the promotion it states 3, 5, 7, 10, and 30-day listing durations.
Any idea? Thanks!

"it also allows you to have the item automatically relisted up to 3 times if it doesn't sell - and it's free to relist."
That feature is available to some sellers, not all. I do not have it.
I do not know how eBay determines who gets it and who does not.
That may be a good question for the "Weekly Board Hour" tomorrow.
Maybe. just maybe, you may get a real answer from the staff.

I've read that it does relist for free when you originally list during a promo. But since I don't receive that option, I'm going by what I've read...not from experience.

Ugh!! ..... for once, my categories were included in the promo. But guess what? *I* am not. Clicked on the link and received this message: "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only." So frustrating!! Why am I not eligible? Is it because I refuse to pay insertion fees? Or because I do not have a store?
Selling here is so depressing since eBay changed the fees. Before that, my sales were going really well, a few hundreds of dollars every month. Since the change, my sales have dropped drastically. To the point where I had none since last Septembre 19. And to top it all, my items barely get one or two views every 7 days. Depressing...

"Why am I not eligible? Is it because I refuse to pay insertion fees? Or because I do not have a store?"
eBay has never given any information indicating why some sellers are invited and others are not.
Looking at the last four invitational promotions, I have been invited only once. In three instances, I was not eligible.
Is it based on volume of business? NO, Based on feedback? NO. Based on DSRs? NO. Having a store? NO.
Do not take it personally.. eBay is a business and they have their own (unpublished) criteria to determine eligibility to promotions. And these criteria clearly change from one promotion to the next.
