1000 auctions? That is great! I might have to move some of my items over to ebay.ca!

Here are the details
Please note: Invited sellers must activate the Promotion by selecting "Activate offer" in the invitation email or on the Promotion landing page. Items listed prior to a seller activating the Promotion will not be eligible for the Promotional Rate.
What is the Promotion?
Sellers who activate the offer and then create a listing in the Qualifying Fashion and Collectibles categories* with the auction-style format, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth herein ("Qualifying Listing"), will pay no insertion fee per item listed ("Promotion") for up to 1,000 listings during the Promotion Period (as defined below). All existing selling limits on your account (as well as category and item limits) still apply, and may prevent you from creating the maximum number of listings in this Promotion. The Promotion is in addition to the free listings per month as part of the everyday rate plan.
* Qualifying Fashion and Collectibles categories include:
The Promotion excludes items listed in 1-day or 3-day duration.

It is on .com? I sell on there...I will see if I got it.

It appears to be for .com only actually. In the past most promos, once activated, were good for both sites, but since last month we've had 4 promos that were exclusive to one site or the other, so that may be the new normal.

I did not see it at the bottom of My eBay...

Sorry to hear it.

Do I have to do this to get promos?
Here's what we found for "Changing your communication preferences"
You can change your communication preferences from the Account tab in My eBay.

I'm not sure if any of that will make a difference. In the past eBay would always send the promo invitations by email, but that's become unreliable, so I always check Promotional Offers and this discussion board first.

By "I always check Promotional Offers," does that mean you look at the spot in My eBay?

Yes exactly.

Hmm, ok. I do get promos every once-in-a-while, but not all the time. Maybe it is because I never use them 😉

Yeah that's the thing... they're very valuable to certain kinds of sellers but almost worthless to others, depending on the value and quantity of items you sell.

It is probably very helpful to you because you have over 5,000 items on...And me? I have 175 items on. I don't use auctions anyways, just BIN with BO.

Woah! Please lower your font. It is hurting our eyes...
skylarstuff copied and pasted the info here, isn't that good enough? Honestly, it would be pretty hard to "make up" what they put in that (<--) post.

I can think of about a million more 'hilarious' April Fool's joke than a fake ebay promo. Would you really assume it's an April Fool's Day joke?
