x.e. - is there a reason why you use a posting ID when posting on Seller Central on eBay.ca. hiding your actual selling ID?

You may have noticed that the vast majority of sellers using this board - in Canada - post using their actual selling ID fpr added credibility.

It was recommended to me that I do not use my selling id for posting as *sometimes* if people get mad at you, they don't go out and buy stuff you have for sale just to be mean.

Who would recommend such thing?

Look around, we are all using our real selling ID, not hiding from anyone. And if someone gets mad at you, so be it. That is no reason to hide - not in Canada in any case.

In my experience on the boards, this problem does not exist in Canada.

Things are often much nastier on American boards.

If nothing else, the fact that we all post using our real IDs and in many cases names (mine) and photos (yours) keeps things civil.

Of course, I am teasing you a little bit. If I ever saw a real photo of you, PierreL, I'd be shocked that you didn't look like Yoda. Sorry! Hah hah.
