Sellers listing on dotCA have not been able to use USD for about five years.

If your listing is on dotCA, you list in loonies.

You also are able to use Calculated Shipping .

If you want to list in USD, you have to go to the dotCOM site.

Being registered in Canada does not affect this.

On dotCOM you can only list in USD,

You are also unable to use Calculated Shipping and all your shipping must be Flat Rate.

If you are in Canada, you can only register on dotCA.

If you are in the USA (for example, you are a snowbird) you can only registeer on dotCOM.

Where you are registered does not affect which site you choose to list on.

If you are opening a new account for selling on dotCA or on dotCOM, you should keep in mind that using Paypal will not be an option in the very near future.

It might be a good idea to open an online chequing account with a Canadian bank ready for your move to Managed Payments.

If most of your sales are going to be in USD, you can open your Canadian bank account in US dollars.

But you have to choose.

You can only have one bank account attached to MP. The account can be in USD or in loonies, but again only in one.
