This buyer from Italy has contacted me to buy an item and he/she doesn't care about the shipping cost which is close or over 250.00 dollars.
I am having a bit of cold feet here.
Called eBay to have a feel of what they have to say about this person and the status of the account. They seem to think everything is fine.
I am pondering to sell and then call the phone number provided with the order and if things don't check out , cancel.
I have to say that the person English is excellent and that is quite remarkable.
I have nothing against shipping to Italy. I have done it before and everything was fine.
Is just that I have heard of many scums reported by sellers on this site.
Any thoughts on this are welcomed.

If you didn't want to ship overseas why did you make it available to ship overseas?
Confused.

It would help to have context...
Is this a $200 item with $250 shipping or a $1500 item with $250 shipping. The higher the end total, the more it makes sense to check things out.
Seeing what you're selling the odds are high that your greater risk is probably damage in transit than someone trying to scam you.
Shipping that high means it is tracked, so INR shouldn't be a problem.
Giving more context will help folks be able to provide better suggestions....
PS one has to be careful, reading these boards tends to lead one's mind to think all customers are criminals or looking to burn us or the postal system never works, because only the problems are listed here. The other 99.5% of the transactions that go AOK aren't ever brought up here.

If you're willing to ship to France or Germany, and you say you've had no issues shipping to Italy in the past, I'm not sure why you're getting cold feet here. Is there something unusual about the buyer's recent feedback received or left?

Which of your items costs $250 to ship to Italy? That's high even for XpressPost.

Perhaps the seller is considering Priority Worldwide. It would cost about $240 to send a one kilo package that's 30 by 30 by 30 cm from Vancouver to Italy.
