Most wii games listed with the catalog don't show up if one narrows the specifics to wii
For example, toysrus Canada
http://www.ebay.ca/sch/Video-Games-/139973/i.html?_sac=1&_ssn=toysruscanada&_pgn=3&_skc=50&rt=nc
Presently shows a count of 6 under platform> wii. But they have least 35 wii games listed. Its not specific to toyrus, I noticed as I was suprised to see I only had 1 wii game out of dozens actually listed. All have the item specifics as set by the catalog as "platform wii"
I believe it happens to some extent with other systems but its way worse with wii. Looks like if someone trusts the platform and selects wii approx 25k of the 30k wii games on ,ca are eliminated from view. Same thing on com

Global shipping Program
(1) Many US sellers do not understand how the program works.
(2) International shipping plus Import charges. Should be domestic shipping with the GSP
(3) It is our understanding that GST/HST/PST are included in import charges....Yet invoices do not show business numbers for GST/HST or PST.
Canadian sellers must meet invoicing requirement if taxes are collected... Such is not indicated with GSP charges.
(4) We see one charge for everything... Why is not each part of the import charge not presented... Taxes, customs, and more.... When we see on number it is too easy to hide something that perhaps should not be there....
(5) Let the buyer decide what to pay.....GSP should be an option and not compulsory....
(6) One gets the impression that many US sellers are losing sales because of the GSP.... indicated on the US as well as Canadian discussion boards.

If you have a long search string the "# results for" runs all the way down and into the first item, and the save search disappears behind the items picture.

Hi megamangaea,
Do you have a URL so I can see this?
Thanks,

Hi tobyshitzu,
I'm interested to see if this is in fact happening with other sellers. I looked at ToysRUs' inventory, and it looks like 6 is all in fact they've for Wii games - if I'm wrong, please send a URL so I can take a look. If you also have other sellers where you've seen this issue, that would work as well.
Thanks in advance.

Why does usa small packet airmail no longer link a "tracking" number to ebay when printed thru paypal since April 9th? I know the tracking # is absolutely useless but it made the buyer know I had at least sent it or there may possibly be tracking. Now I have to keep letting them know that there is no tracking included instead of just telling them its slow to update. Its opened me up to the possibility of a buyer knowingly filing a claim for item not received on purpose knowing full well that I cant prove it. I know the savvy buyers know that it meant nothing but the majority of my buyers have feedback of less than 10.

Re the WII issue:
Toby, try changing your Item Specific for Platform to Nintendo Wii
......not just Wii
In the Toys R Us link that you gave, the 6 Wii games that show up when you select the platform all use Nintendo Wii.
Many other Toys R us Wii games that use only Wii do not show up, eg. items

retro-thrift- I agree that it is a pain that those numbers are not automatically transferred anymore but you can enter them manually as well.

"try changing your Item Specific for Platform to Nintendo Wii

It looks like that is the problem, but it isnt something the sellers can change.

I don't know whether it's a temporary glitch that will clear up once all the site changes are completed, but I've noticed the "Watch This Item" button when looking at a particular listing doesn't always offer all the options in the drop-down list (e.g. lists I have specifically created for my own purposes). Once or twice it has worked, then on other items it doesn't.
This is admittedly a minor inconvenience but it was very useful when it worked properly.

Whatever happened to eBay/PayPal when I purchased the PayPal Shipping label and the tracking numbers usually appeared on each item afterwards but now it is not automatically being done. This automatically system has disappeared many months ago like about 4-5 months ago.
Try to imagine when I got one buyer buying 50 items at one item and I purchased one PayPal Shipping for all 50 items to be shipped in one shipment to save my buyer the shipping costs and I had to do manually to type the tracking numbers (12 numbers) for each item 50 times!! It is getting to the point it is becoming insane!!
If I don't do that I would lose my TRSs in eBay.com! What happened to the automatic system from PayPal Shipping??
It seems to me that eBay has become worse and worse all the time now. Now no more stock photos! I have lots of books, VHS, DVDs, Music, etc., that I would like to list but need those stock photos as all of them are new and would like to use them.
I see nothing here about why stock photos are disappearing. I have called the customer service so many times and they kept saying it is a glitch or it is on my end that is having problems. Now I am seeing that there are other sellers are having the same problems as I have. Apparently the staff at eBay don't know what they are doing, or what?
It is high time that someone go there and really check and clean up or "educate" the staff about them, etc., instead of letting them doing nothing for months and months or letting it become worse.
Is eBay going south and is going to close or what? I think it is possible going to close, the more problems they are having. eBay needs to admit and raise the flag.
As for eBay to make announcements of any problems, they won't want to to that because they don't want anything to be posted or listed and when they do, those will be stuck forever which anyone can check to see and will see all those announcements of problems which will be way too way, so they choose not to post them. eBay prefers that no one like new people knew about them which is why.

Hi rose-dee,
It's an inconvenience, nonetheless & we'd like to capture these little things as much as possible. Do you have an item number where I can see, or rather, not see this please?
Thanks,

Hi retro_thrift,
Had a chance to look into this for you, and we did in fact remove the automation of uploading these "tracking numbers". Since these are technically not valid as Small Packet Airmail isn't a tracked service, we felt that not providing a number was better than providing a bogus one.

Hi honeybed1950,
Thanks for taking the time to list your concerns.
Can I ask what Shipping service you're referring to which doesn't upload the tracking number anymore? I've addressed a similar concern from retro_thrift - yours may be related.
Stock photos disappearing was in fact reported & we're working on resolving this issue as soon as possible. The current workaround is for sellers to upload their own photos.
Please feel free to drop me an email personally if you have any other concerns.

I recall reading this along time ago on a thread somewhere because I know I started doing it manually then just stopped eventually because I didn't have to do it to maintain my TRS ..
However I did feel like it is piece of mind for buyers even though the number is as Kalvin Stated bogus I felt it gave them piece of mind having the proof it was shipped.. I did however have to explain many many times why it only showed the day shipping on the bogus tracking number..
not sure why but for 2 days when i first posted the picture thread I could not upload photos on any auctions running which made me mad because that is lost money and time .. I still have 100+ photos to put back but atleast not on my auctionsv this time ..
Thanks Kalvin for the help with the issue's it is much appreciated I hope the fix isn't removing stock photos for good ;)..
Take care

Kalvin, I recall an exchange between some sellers and the "Pinks" a few weeks ago where the question of what was an "acceptable" tracking # for purposes of TRS (especially US TRS status) was discussed.
I believe one of the "Pinks" confirmed that even a tracking number such as those issued for Light/Small Packet was valid for meeting the uploaded tracking requirements for TRS even though we all know the "tracking" # issued for Light/Small Pkt is really just confirmation of purchase. Since my own U.S. TRS status shows 100% uploaded tracking so far, and I frequently use Light/Small Pkt to the U.S.A., I'm assuming this was the case, at least up until recently.
Has anything changed with regard to what is and isn't considered a valid tracking number for TRS purposes? I do understand that no actual tracking is involved with these services. Thanks!

Hello rose-dee,
The fact that numbers that aren't tracking numbers were being uploaded where tracking numbers are supposed to go was a deficiency with the PayPal labels platform. This deficiency was recently resolved, which is the only thing that changed.
One problem that came up quite a bit as a result of this "tracking that isn't tracking" issue (as we called it internally) was buyers accusing sellers of providing fake tracking numbers and opening Buyer Protection cases, leaving low DSRs and/or negative Feedback. Obviously we couldn't continue feeding erroneous information to buyers on behalf of sellers.
Lastly, with regards to the US TRS tracking requirement (tracking isn't a requirement for the Global TRS program), what I would like to stress is that using numbers that aren't tracking numbers in order to meet the 90% target was never advised or allowed. The only numbers that are considered valid tracking numbers are actual tracking numbers.

"using numbers that aren't tracking numbers in order to meet the 90% target was never advised or allowed"
???
"a deficiency with the PayPal labels platform"
So, based on your comments, it was OK for eBay to mistakenly upload the wrong information (not tracking) on behalf of sellers but it is not OK for sellers to do the same although the practice has been tolerated until now.
Wow. You guys should get a seat in the Senate.
I really miss the "good old days" when everything was so much simplier, when white meant white and black meant black.
