Have anyone noticed the big changes in search results since yesterday? US sellers are filling the first few pages in search results on eBay.ca after yesterday night.

yes, the canadian "location advantage" is gone.  Can't see that making any sense with the higher then ever usa shipping charges it looks terrible to buyers.  They've done this a few times, briefly, then put it back

I just looked in "advanced", the Cdn option is there. Search has been wonky the last week or so. There were complaints, down south, over the weekend.

I was searching in certain categories and was getting 35 hits when I should have got 35,000. Going back through the main eBay home page I would get the correct number of hits.

The best match "formula' specifically on .ca has definitely just changed.   In a broad search before all or virtually all the auction format at the front were Canadian located, which had been the case for quite some time.   They also just changed ,ca to no longer show the top 3 stores for the search result on the left. which .com had eliminated a long time ago

In this case, is it better to list items on eBay.com? I believe that US sellers seem to have bettter listing visibility.

No I don't believe site the listing is submitted on will make any difference

I have to think this is temporary.    Search for something like wii games. Last week the vast majority on the first page were from Canada.  Now there are more from France (that wont even work here!) then from Canada with most of the rest USA ones with $10-$20 shipping (where the Canadian shipping is often more then the retail value of the game).  No one here will buy those, so it will either be find the Canadian ones anyway, or don't buy on ebay

I have this free listing offer, but I am thinking if I should list items on .com or .ca. If listing items as a US seller will grant me more page views on my items, then there is no point selling on the Canada site. Also, if you consider this is only temporary, do you know how long this will last?

I have talked to an eBay agent, but all she did was giving me advice on using more effective titles for the listings. Then, she transferred me to the technical issue department. the representative stated that there "might" be a technical issue. At the end, I still have no clue what is going on here.

Anyways, glad someone notices this too. I have been looking for answers online and the "answer" center, but there don't seem to be any information or updates provided by eBay. I am surprised that there is only one post discussing about this issue.

Well... I can too ask about this when I call to raise my selling limits tomorrow. Hope it's temporary. Otherwise I will just focus on other selling platforms. Good luck eBayers :D!

You wont likely get anyone on the phone who knows anything about this.  ebay.ca staff will likely be around here wednesday, not that anything said then is likely to change what is going to happen anyway

I don't think you'll find submitting listings on .com makes any difference.   It hasn't been based on "site" but "location",  I don't think they are disadvantaging us, it just looks that way after going from  being advantaged to overwhelmed by so many american listings that are now on sorted an equal basis
