I've noticed lately that eBay has a default setting activated when I want to send offers. It has Send Automated Offer & Allow Counteroffers set to an ON setting. Everytime I want to send an offer I have to manually change the settings. Also it has it set to percentage & I prefer choosing the amount. I never chose any of these settings. Does anyone know how to deactivate them so I can decide which offer to send? Thanks

There's complaints about this is the dot com forum.

Supposedly it's a new feature that you have to change every time you send an offer (someone was trying to find out from the blues if it might be a glitch that will be later fixed).

Another one of those dark of night magical features ebay has made without any warning.

I had a very low value item with multiple units available that someone must have added or viewed recently. When checking to see if it was worth sending an offer, percent was the new default and counter offers was turned on. 2 things I have always done manually. I personally prefer choosing an amount vs a %. As sellers only we know what our margin for offers is.

Checking personal settings there "appears" to be no way to override this magically updated feature that I can see.

Just confirmed. If you are running a sale (not sure about offering a coupon) the auto feature is tied to those listings. Noticed this before but didn't link the concept together.
