I have a Canadian account and I'm trying to sell items to Canada and the US.
For shipping:
It says "standard shipping from outside the US" and then only lets me enter a shipping cost to a maximum of $4.00
Then for international shipping, I have to put "will ship to Canada" and then any price.
It seems like this is backwards. Can anyone help me sort this out? Thanks.

are you listing on .com (US), or .ca (Can)?

The problem is that you are trying to list on eBay.com
You should list on eBay.ca and that will avoid the problem you are experiencing.

In some categories you can only charge a maximum of $4 for shipping when you list on .com. For that reason Canadian sellers who list in those categories usually list on .ca.

Also, if the Canadian seller lists on eBay.com and allows FREE SHIPPING to Canada, the FVF on shipping still applies.
because on eBay.com the shipping to Canada is not considered as "domestic".
I did not find beneficiary for me to list om eBay.com

The $4.00 applies to your books, right?
List them on eBaydotCA. I switched all my books to the Canada site when this stupid shipping cap came in (it was a reaction to an Amazon policy).
I had no loss in sales because I list in US dollars and give shipping costs (Calculated) to the USA.
Remember that while postage rates are cheaper in the US, that if you offer unusual items they will find a buyer.
(Look at my listings if you like, but at the moment I have cut way back since I am organizing a cross-country move this fall.)

What Femme et al have said. The USPS has a media rate that is cheaper than anything CP offers. Hence the cap. You are listing inside the US for shipping inside the US and the system knows the max costs.
Do yer listings on .ca. You may have to craft them a wee bit differently with keywords, I do. Functionality of ca and com are very very different for me.
Femme? When is the move tentatively scheduled for?

Thank you very much. It worked on ebay.ca
I have one more question. When you list on ebay.ca, do your items still come up when people from America do searches, or do more people see the items that are listed on ebay.com? Thanks.

Folks will view your items on eBay.com if:
1 - You select USA as a country you ship to
2 - Provide a shipping cost for buyers located in the USA
Both conditions must be met for your listings to be viewed on eBay.com
