Hi all,
This is my first time filling out Form T2125.
I've registered with the CRA for a GST/HST number. Since eBay collects and remits GST on the sellers behalf, what would I input for GST collected? $0?
Thanks in advance.

$0.00 is correct unless you collected GST on non-eBay transactions and reported it on your GST Returns.

Have you given ebay permission to file the sales tax on your behalf ?

Yes I have. I filled out a billing agent form.

I found the form on CRA website.
My question is, is this required for me to fill out if I'm HST registered and eBay is collecting HST and remitting it on my sales on eBay.ca? I have sales on eBay.com where eBay does not collect the HST (actually no one does, and apparently no one can because I ship from the US, but I'm required to remit it when shipping to a location in Canada even though it wasn't collected at the sale and the HST table is not active for me to be able to collect it on my sales).
I only started selling on eBay.ca a little over a month ago, so if I need to fill this form out, please advise so I can take care of this for my eBay.ca account.
Thanks, C.

You can find a form here:
however I will say there was a thread later on where people were auditted and this wasnt the right form and had a heck of a time getting the proper one that the CRA approved of. I got both signed and supplied both with my audit and had no issues last year, I wasnt told which one was correct I just supplied both
That thread is here

The form referred to in the thread that says they got the wrong form is the one I found on CRAs website. They are right the form is not that different, however eBay does collect Quebec Sales Tax on our behalf, and the way the laws are in Quebec if you are outside of Quebec and have sales to Quebec, you are supposed to be collecting and remitting. (At our shop we got a phonecall from the Regie asking how many sales we do to Quebec and giving instructions on how to collect and remit sales tax to them, not sure what next steps we took after the call). So the fact the form eBay provides says Quebec might not be wrong.
I may play it safe and just do both forms, one of them is bound to be correct. I don't have to worry until next year when I file my taxes since I only started to sell in March 2025 on eBay.ca, but I wouldn't want to go a while without doing the correct paperwork regarding taxes.
