Hello,
After unsuccessful talk with an ebay rep, I've been told that there's no way to remove my bank account unless I put another one. I'm done with selling on ebay for the foreseeable future and I don't feel like leaving my bank account info on their site, especially with all the hacking that's being going on lately. So far, the only solution is to close my ebay account, but before doing so, I would like some input in case someone else has a better idea.
Finally, please do not turn my topic into security debate. If you don’t mind leaving your bank account there info when not in use, that’s your personal preference, so do not impose it on others.
Thank you

Only other options would be to close your bank account and open a new account with new account # at current bank. Or create a new bank account that you can enter on ebay that you won't use unless you come back to ebay and keep separate from your personal banking account. There are promos at some banks that offer $300 (certain transactions need to be completed) when you open a new account depending on the type of account if you do decide to close your current bank account and open a new bank account elsewhere.
Even if you close your ebay account you can still close your bank account and open a new one if you don't feel secure.

When you ask eBay to close your account, they will keep it open for up to 180 days to allow for possible problems.
Paypal allows buyers to demand refunds for up to six months from payment. Many cards do the same.
I notice you have been a member since 2001. You probably don't remember it, but when you signed up for Paypal circa 2002, you give PP your banking information and while it was eBay's payment processor, eBay had permission from you to withdraw from that account to cover fees or if you refused to voluntarily refund a dispute and did not have a sufficient PP balance.

Open a no fee bank account (tangerine.ca is one choice) with a low balance ($1 should be good enough) and then use that as the ebay replacement bank account.
I have one bank account associated with ebay, and it is separate from my other accounts which are at different financial institutions. That's enough peace-of-mind protection for me.
