Hi all!
As the title states. How do I know what dimensions to put on the customs forms and shipping label for a return from a US customer? I am buying the label through Shippo. It was only 250g when I shipped it to the buyer, but I used a poly bag and bubblewrap. If they use a box it could weigh closer to 400g.
Am... confused.

Man, as a new seller it's hard to find accurate info sometimes 😕
Best bet would be confirm with buyer the package size etc before preparing the documents. Make sure if there is a note section or have buyer mark Canadian goods returning on documents and pkg. Yes, for Intl shipping the process is not cut and dried as just put in a box and send back. Because you'e completed the original transaction it is perfectly acceptable to reach out to your buyer directly to confirm those details. Will save problems in the end. You could also have them take to po and confirm best applicable method to return then forward them the amount to cover costs. Really depends on value of item in play. Hope that gives you a place to start?

I got to this a little late, but I ended up doing just about what you said. I did end up having to pay a small amount because the package was different in weight and dimensions than I plugged in on my end. Oh well, it was a good learning experience and didn't cost me too much.

Glad it was a cheap one. Buyers are normally very good about things like that.
