What Happens Now

Hi fellow sellers,

Janet Here.

I've not been in this situation before and I was wondering if someone could help? I have a nasty buyer that never contacted me until yesterday with a message claiming that her order was messed up and delayed. We had no idea and immediately wanted to fix this. In her message to us, she stated she would give us one week from the 21st of February, to resolve this and if we didn't, she would leave negative feedback if nothing was done.

That message was dated for the 21st of this month, yesterday. Well this morning, I came in to find a negative comment and rating. What happened to one week?

Also, we never heard anything until yesterday. I proceeded to call ebay and was instructed to send a feedback revision request. We did. We are going to refund this buyer and ask for our product back but want that negative removed as she didn't give us any time to fix anything or even refund her. We absolutely don't want a buyer left in the lurch if their order wasn't right and quite willing to refund, send more things, whatever.

What else can I do about the negative?

seems your buyer has had lot of orders from other sellers "messed up". otherwise seems like a nice buyer, maybe just had a bad day yesterday. let her calm down over the weekend and talk to her on monday.

Hi dipmicro. I noticed that too and why I'm concerned. Yes, I will wait until Monday to see if she revises. Then proceed as usual. Thanks for answering.

Do not say anything about FB in your emails as that would count as feedback extortion. When I run into these people I turn and walk away. I have their money and I am not giving it back. Try reporting the buyer. Happens enough and they get removed and their FB gets removed.

Lawdie I feel stupid. Okay so say nothing about FB in my emails to her, but what about her email to me stating that she'll give us one week to fix things and if we don't then she'll leave a negative on my feedback and file a claim. Isn't that FB extortion? Or was ebay correct in stating it isn't feedback extortion and I should ask for a revision.???

Keep that email, but make sure it comes with the header. This will come in handy & can be reported to eBay.

Remain calm, don't let them bully you & don't put anything in a message that will question your credibility.

IMO ...............

I would not have sent the revision request for some time yet.

I would have waited for the buyer to open that door.........

You know:  Give "em enough rope and you increase the odds that they'll hang themselves... :).

IMO that is.

Sometimes i*m & i wish them the best in the attempt to have the feedback removed.

Unfortunately some buyers are very savy & know how to work the system.

Of course it will catch up to them one day also.

Laying the jewelry on a patterned background makes it very difficult to see the jewelry clearly.

Maybe she was expecting to see the background item in her parcel...

Was the background excluded... and noted in the listing....

Hi Cumos, I really don't know as the only email I got was her threat of negative feedback in a week if I didn't fix it and then the same day the negative she placed on my feedback without giving me the week. Otherwise I don't know. Well I had several lots on at the same time using the same presentation and all the others purchased without issue... maybe she did? I don't know as I've not heard a thing.
