What you have to do is go to the Seller Hub Overview page and then to Shortcuts.

Find the link to Site Preferences.

Find the line where you can ... Exclude shipping locations from your listings

This is the best way to indicate  to which countries you will ship to .... by identifying which countries you will  not ship to

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

Your listings are on on .com and you have set up domestic shipping only. On .com, the US is domestic. You have to check off that you are shipping worldwide. You are probably using the quick listing form so I don't know exactly where that is on that form but if will probably say something like will ship to the US and the following countries.  Check off worldwide.  Then in another section  (or same area) you will have to choose a shipping method...choose standard international shipping and if shipping is free put in 0.00 as the cost.

Right now the only site your listing is visible on is .com because of the way shipping is set up.

Not necessarily. In the op's case they are shipping worldwide so no exclusions are needed.

When you ship to Canada and the US only such as you do there also is no reason to exclude specific countries either.  If you check off in site preferences -- buyer requirements-- that you will not ship to 'countries in which a buyers primary address is in a country that I don't ship to'  the only people that can buy your items will be those with US and Canada addresses.   I don't understand why someone who have that they ship worldwide and have a bunch of exclusions when they could just specify the two countries that the ship to.

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

There was once a time I did ship worldwide, and then gradually cut back

My last adjustment was to remove some European countries, and now I only ship to Canada and the US.

Many sellers have encountered problems when they say they only say they ship to Canada and the US...

and then someone from another country buys.

That is why I use the do not ship to option.

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

I have tried that still no go...i just called ebay and they told me that is just the way it is the only solution they gave was to put it on pickup only but that was a dumb idea for two reasons one i sell digital goods and website services and two i don't want  possible clients to be confused i get enough of that already with web design.

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

@websales647

I'm not sure what you are saying that you can't do.  You don't see international shipping options on the sell your item form to set up international shipping the way that I mentioned?

The problem could be that you have freight as your shipping option for the US.  It is possible that takes away any international options.  Go into one of your listings by clicking on revise and change the freight shipping to expedited shipping from outside of the US. and see if that brings up your international options.  If not, please post a screen shot of the shipping area on your sell your item form so that we can help you. The people here are better at setting up shipping than customer service.

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

They only reason they encounter problems is because they don't use the buyer preferences block that I mentioned. I've never had someone from a country that I don't ship to be able to buy from me unless they had an address in a country that I do ship to because they are blocked with that preference. You can do it however you want of course.

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

Domestic shipping if listing on ebay.COM is only for the USA.

Canada is part of International shipping when listing on ebay.COM

...

"May not ship to Canada" usually means the seller does not have a shipping cost set up for Canada.

Me too but I do ship our items to some countries that Canada Post provides Tracked Packet &/or Xpresspost only.  We no longer ship our items without tracking number even to USA and Canada, it is to protect ourselves as we are getting more and more so-called scammers.

A few years ago we ship our items at reasonable low rates without tracking numbers, they claimed they never received them.  It is very ironic because NOT ONE package/parcel has been returned to us.  It is clearly they just want the items for FREE!

Sad that it forced us to switch from cheaper mail service without tracking number to mail service with tracking number.  It is sad because there are many honest buyers but we are not taking chances any more.

I have many buyer that bought my items and paid for cheaper mail service with tracking number and then asked us for the tracking number.  Go figure!!

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

ebay does have different listing flavours: simple vs advanced,  handheld device vs computer, restricted (usually only for new sellers)

...

This is what I see when listing on ebay.com -- when using the advanced form on a computer.

Enter 0.00 if you want free for internationalEnter 0.00 if you want free for international

Re: What's with 'May Not Ship To Canada'???

Thanks to all that helped me with my shipping i finally  figured it out i had to go to customize on the upper right hand corner... and all i had to do was enable international shipping, and to think i had asked ebay several times to help me and they had no clue ebay has to train their customer service better, from what i can see is ebay only has one concern how to save money one day a bigger player might take over and run it better, ebay if you are reading this it's time to wake up and start taking care of what makes you money the sellers  no sellers no no more ebay for all our sakes stop cutting corners.
