Hi there
Whats the point to offer free shipping and free returns?
I just made an experiment for week I. I offered free shipping and free returns .Items are more than good ,usually bestsellers, competitive etc .
I did not get even one sale .My listing was "pushed " on the third page of the searching out of 192 listings per page .I listed 140 listings with free shipping and free returns .
Ah another issue is that i called CS to give me more information about free returns .Guess what there is no information or no more than what states in the seller update. No clear rules at all.
I had monitored this experiment few times per day because i was curious .
Shortly no benefits of offering free returns at this point .Today i will end all the listings that are in 2 categories, which mean i paid extra for it .
Ah and something else the listings does not show even one view .
I know that this topic was hot and had a lot of comments about .But now with my experience that I shared with would like to have more inputs .And will be great if happy pigeon tyler@ebay would like discus this matter
Happy sales

Top Rated sellers will be required to offer 30-day free returns to be eligible for Top Rated Plus on eBay.COM.
...
No mention of better sales. Just another hoop to jump through for the USA market.

Are Canadian sellers who sell on dotCOM even eligible for TRSplus?
I would think not, since many of us could not afford to use parcel service with Proof of Delivery .
@fashionoutletdeal would be using Parcel anyway. (And did I tell you how much I like the suitcase you sold me? Fast delivery and well packed.)
With the exception of Small Packet USA, I believe most parcel services include Proof of Delivery.
Without jumping through the Free Shipping and Free 30 day Returns hoops, we Canadians get the Global TRS badge and 10% fee discount for our dotCA listings. Do we get it for our dotCOM listings too?
Since many buyers seem to think that 95% is excellent feedback, I don't think the difference in having a TRS badge, a TRSplus badge, or no badge makes much difference to customers.
I only want it for the discounts.

I don’t think that a week is long enough to come to any definite conclusions but with that being said, I think that the cost of shipping here makes it more difficult to add perks like free returns.
Where are the majority of your buyers? Your free return shipping is set up for within Canada so if the majority of your items are sold to US buyers free return might help to attract more Canadian buyers but not more US buyers.

If you have global trs you do get fvf discounts for listings on .ca and .com but no badge on .com unless you also have US Trs and your listings meet the trs plus requirements.

I had it before not anymore .
For an year I see a pattern that I personally do not like it .I cant share much here because I will receive again warning .
What make me frustrated is that the Canadian sellers are very competitive and offer good prices and services but they are not pushed up like others overseas.
So many fake listings with misrepresented location is circulating on .ca and eBay cant even catch them .This make buyers go away.
Lately I have problem with my home page and listings.I called eBay CS here is no need even to make a comment . Received email from them explaining me how its work free listing .Hello wake up overseas i already have a store on eBay.I even didnt want to spent more time to talk with them .Is not my business to educate them .I like to buy from Canadian sellers but its so hard to find them .Yeah i know how to search but first pop up the overseas sellers with misrepresented location .So i need to go somewhere else to shop and frustrated me .I like to support Canadian economic as much as I can .
