Why is Ebay sending offers to my buyers without my knowledge?

I've noticed recently that offers have been sent out to buyers on behalf of myself on random listings of mine, but  I am not sending them.  This came to my attention when one of the items sold for a price lower than the list price.  Ebay customer service told me it was because of an offer I sent to the buyer, but I didn't send one.  They suggested I change my password, which I did.   But, I've been watching the sent offers, and it's still happening.  It's every couple of days, same time of day each time.  Am I missing a setting for this, or is this an Ebay glitch?

When you send an offer, there is a setting you can enable to automatically send the offer to future watchers of an item. Maybe it's related to that? You don't have too many things listed. You could try ending and relisting or selling similar which I think should clear that if it is indeed the problem.

You have to be careful that Best Offer isn't on when you do up your listings. I know it has sometimes defaulted to be on when I haven't wanted it there. There is a blurp that says something like "eBay may send offers which help to increase chances of selling (not exact wording, I can't remember). I know I got a couple of offers which were okay but the offer function didn't carry over the shipping charge so I went through all my listings to make sure Best Offer was off. There is a switch if you go on your listing under Pricing at the far right side at top it says "See Pricing Options". In there make sure "Best Offer" switch is off (switched to left side). I try and remember to double check each time I create a new listing. If you're not sure click on your listings and see if the "Make an Offer" button is there. If it is turn it off, I don't think they can send the Make an Offer if you have the switch on off.

Yes, thank you.  I do see now that there is a setting to automatically send offers which I apparently have enabled.  Looks like you can do that for multiple listings at a time, but taking it off requires you to do it with every listing.  No bulk edit that I can see for that particular action.  Oh well.
