Yeah I just checked the promo in the "history" section, it now shows 5/10 with those 5 just selling a few hours ago.

Woot! A massive $2.10 extra in my pocket!!!!!!!

I guess I'll have to retract my apology to @mjwl2006 ..... sorry about that!

Even their staff didn't understand the promo.   it was clearly Listed during the promo then sold during that listing at any time.  The counter disappeared but they still get the promo.  I lalready used the 10 on one id by today (all low price)

I still see it only for myself on the one item that listed and sold within the timeframe. There was a very similar three-day one on ebay.com. Can you have activated that one as well? Screen Shot 2017-12-15 at 5.04.54 PM.png

I've always understood these fvf promotions to work in that same way....list during the promotion period and receive the fvf discount if they sell throughout the length of the listing. But just now when I looked at promo in my messages, on the graphic part it states

Sell by December 12
Applies to first 10 sales

I wonder if that is a typo...I know that we have to list by Dec. 12 but sell by that date too???? That isn't the norm as far as I know.

I just re-checked my email and the image with my email has "List by December 12" not "Sell by December 12"

Just how many cooks were stirring this offer...

No wonder everyone is confused....

I was just checked my message again and it still says sell by Dec. 12.

So now I felt compelled to return to my ebay Messages and look at the offer sent to me. It also says 'sell by' and that's certainly the rules that have been applied to my promo.

Do you think ebay would have invited different users to differing version of it?

Or messed up the terms and then applied those terms to the people who accepted it that way?

Or changed the promo mid-release?

Remember, there were NO terms to be found on the offer as it was activated, no Learn More link.

If I scroll down on the message there is information there about the promo but they are as specific as they always are with this type of promotion. I don't remember the normal wording but it seems to me this wording is the same as always which is why I thought that it would be done the same way as always....list during the promo and sell within that listing period.

It's possible that they sent out different promos but I think they are just confused.

You may have answered this already but are you saying that any items you listed trom Dec 8 to the end of Dec 12 sold after that but you didn't receive an fvf credit?

The 5 items I listed in the period all have been discounted....

I suspect that "sell" = "list" or more reasonably sell = offer for sale.

Maybe the person writing the copy is one of those people who posts on the board "I made a sells and the seller says it wasn't arrived".

By my account, four items that are Good Till Cancelled listings came due for renewal between Dec. 8 and 12 that sold after Dec. 12, and are not discounted with the Final Value Fees promo. One GTC was renewed between Dec. 8 and 12 and sold on Dec. 11. It has a promo discount on the FVF. But the others do not. Again, I could be misinterpreting the terns.

lol It amazes me how many people spell sales 'sells'.

Actually I didn't think that a gtc relisting during that time would qualify either but I guess I was wrong since you had one that qualified.  But nothing here seems to be consistent since your others didn't qualify but others did get the promo rate after the 12th.

Oh well...not going to spend any more time trying to figure it out.

I doubt that any GTC would qualify because GTC by their nature don't ever end until sold or cancelled. If you had ended them a few hours before they roiled over and manually relisted then they would probably qualify.

My GTC qualified for this promo. It's the only one that did. I didn't have any new items to list just sitting around waiting for the right moment to strike, only the ones that came up for renewal after I activated the promo.

Just sold my first item that was listed during the promo period (first-10-sales-version) and it got the 50% discount on FVF for the item and FVF for the shipping. Saved $2.46 ... I'm rich, I'm rich ... Smiley Tongue

It only shows in my Promotional offer history as an expired offer, but the count is now 1 with 9 left.

You inspired me to check my own Expired section under promos and, much to my surprise, I saw another two of my items sold recently were eligible for the promotion. Considering I put zero thought into using it after activation and derided it as being useless, it's still working for me in some capacity.

What has this saved me? About five bucks in the end I think. One of these items I feel in my gut is going to end in an Unpaid Item case anyway. Still, it's better than a kick in the pants, I guess.

I listed 6 items during that time (includes multiples) and sold 4 items for a savings of $23 on fvf so I'm happy. There is still the possible that I could sell one or two more items too as they are still listed.

Got toward 30 of the 40 possible between accounts realized.   I ended and relisted what I thought would be enough to get 10 on each account.  Have subsequently revised a few of those listings to different things that would be worth more if they sell and count for this.  Its not a hgue amount of money, but worth a lot  more then a listing promo would have been
