eBay Expected Delivery Dates.... Ummm.

eBay had extended the expected delivery dates.  As of yesterday I was seeing December 18 to 24.   As of today I just noticed this has changed back to normal dates, I am seeing November 28 to December 4.  Even if I could ship tomorrow, with the line-ups at the post office, likely not to be recieved by the 4th of December.  But of course I can't ship tomorrow according to the search I just did.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Does eBay know something that we, or I don't?

Or are sales down for eBay (I'm sure they are)?  I have gotten more sales today as compared to previous days, but it is the weekend.

Re: eBay Expected Delivery Dates.... Ummm.

If you regularly mail out at the 100-200g rate you can just stock up on $1.15 stamps. Apply three of those and it adds up to $3.45. You're overpaying by 2 cents but that might be worth it for the time savings of not having to stand in line and have the clerks print out meter labels for all of your letters.

I know this isnt much help now considering the strike, and the fact that rates are going up in January, but something to think about haha.

Re: eBay Expected Delivery Dates.... Ummm.

The P in P stamps stands for Permanent.

I have P stamps that are decades old and still accepted at the current rate - like 57c accepted as the current 99c.

The current 99c rate rises to $1.24 in January.

You can today use a 57c and a 42c stamp together* and you have paid the current 99c rate.

The rest that you would pay at the counter is a service fee (on singles) and sales tax. These were both paid at the time of original purchase.

And if you buy current P stamps today, they rise in value  to $1.24 in January.

*Or a 65c+34c. Whatever adds up.
