Weird, I literally just had Ebay remove one of my listings this weekend and ban me for 3 days (I was not aware of a particular ebay rule which I am now following!!!). Wish they would have just edited mine!! But in all seriousness that does seem kind of messed. At least they send us a message to let us know?

The key words in each listing are......
Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing.
If there is a change... an edit ... required.....Seller must be notified.....
Seller must do the edit... not eBay...

This sounds like another iteration of the earlier reports of eBay "improving" sellers' photos or inserting a précis of a seller's listing at the top for purposes of mobile viewers. You may recall the comments from sellers about that interference by eBay.
It seems eBay is taking their micro-managing a few steps further with actual meddling in editing crucial parts of listings. What if eBay's judgment is wrong and they remove or revise something that was actually correct and/or permissible? Who is responsible if a buyer complains?
EBay now apparently has two completely contradictory rules: one that stipulates sellers are responsible for all content in their listings, and the other that stipulates eBay is permitted to stick their fingers in and re-write a listing for the sake of "compliance". So which is it eBay?
This kind of disingenuous comment by eBay simply adds insult to injury: "...however, looking at the severity of the breach and due to time constraint we've to immediately edited the listings to safeguard seller's account."
Give me a break! Do they believe we're that stupid?

Strange she'd write that without saying what was edited. Wonder if no one would think there is any issue there if it was known

Whats next? Ebay going to start paying our fees! That would be the last stand. LOL

ebay will keep on doing whatever they want and getaway with it.
the day they will be stopped is when they step over the line into the criminal side
power is addictive it attracts into the "Dark Side" 🙂

There is a wise old saying:
"Give a man enough rope and eventually he will hang himself."
My favorite is:
"The mills of God grind slowly, but they grind exceedingly small. Though with patience he stands waiting, with preciseness grinds he all."
I am not religious but I have seen this proven over and over. Nobody gets away without paying the price. So keep honest.
