I completed a sale on August 14, 2021

The buyer paid on August 15, 2021

To date I have not been paid by eBay, they keep telling me that the payments are blocked by my bank. Ebay provided me reference numbers to take to my bank. My bank tells me that everything on my end is correct, and there is no reason for payments to be blocked. They referred me back to eBay.

Tonight a CSR named Avinash P said that as far as eBay is concerned the matter is closed, and I will not get my money.

For now, we can take no further action and consider this matter closed. I understand this might not be the answer you had hoped for. I wish you all the best for the future.

I have asked what will happen to my money and I get no answers. I know that this is not the case, but I can't help but think this Avinash P is running a scam - like I said, I doubt it is true.....

I have asked for Avinash to refer me to a supervisor and he/she refuses.

Avinash is a very poor example of a customer service rep.

getting the same issue, I only bank with tangerine but I can't add it because ebay "doesn't support this bank". I can't find where my legal name on ebay is stored, is it based on the name in my primary shipping address? because that's the same between accounts, and so is my email address

My ebay account type is "Individual" and I have been using a Tangerine chequing account for deposits.

Tangerine's institution number is 614.

Tangerine's branch number is 00152 (I think they only have one online "branch")

Does it matter if it's a joint account? I've been reading all of these threads as I'm in the same boat, ebay won't release my funds because they apparently don't support Tangerine, and I've tried to add my personal bank account and my joint account. Neither of them work.

Is there anything that can be done to get the Tangerine chequing accounts accepted for payouts? I was told to 'switch banks' but after reading threads all the free Canadian accounts are not supported by Ebay (Simplii, Koho, PC presedential), I dont wish to open a paid bank account just to sell a few items here, any advice?

Apart from finding the right people to talk to/chat with and being very persistent, I can't give you much in the way of additional advice on getting your Tangerine account accepted. @dark2025, if you're still out there, your advice would be helpful here.

This is the first I've heard of Simplii being an issue, though, but I'm not surprised that Koho and PC Financial won't work because they're not considered banks. Anyone tried using a credit union or casse-populaire with Managed Payments?

I called in, spoke to a supervisor, and they eventually gave permission to add my bank account at Tangerine. Just have to be firm and persistent. I was insisting that I'm not letting it go (just don't be rude about it - firm doesn't = rude), and kept calling back until one of the supervisors was able to help. It's time consuming for sure, but I'm figuring the more people do this, the more pressure there might be to actually change how they handle these things.

I had trouble with Simplii.

I had set up MP to pay into the same Simplii account and it went fine for a couple of months,then suddenly ONE of the accounts was no longer allowed to use Simplii.

I switched to another chequing account at a different bank and all was well again.

But I like Simplii because they send me paper statements. I am a technodolt and can only find out how much money is in the new account by going to my branch and asking for a printout.
