Re: invoicing problem

Hi Tyler,
Thanks for looking at this.
I kept getting asked for shipping rates in Canada and U.S. from people seeing my listing.
My location is correct, so I tested the calculator buy putting in the postal code from an apt I lived in 30 years ago....still valid pc by the way.(shown below)
I have highlighted in RED the message I get, and I am assuming others are getting as well.
I have since modified a couple of listings to exclude specific countries and just specified 'world wide - please ask seller for quote' selection  and this seems to solve the postal code problem.
I don't even know how my buyer got the revised invoice....I did warn him I had tried to send about 7 times and apologized for the mess. Every time I tried to 'send an invoice' I got the technical error message. Now somehow it went thru.   Very confusing. but moving forward.

Re: invoicing problem

@allmost-round-the-bend

When the buyer sees that note, it isn't in reference to a postal code at all,  it is usually because the dimensions entered in the listing are too small for the service that has been chosen. It happens more often for US buyers but I do see 2 listings that don't have a shipping cost to Canada and 6 listings without a US shipping cost.

For the calculator to work, each of the dimensions must be at least the minimum size required for that service.  The world war era compact listing and spinning reel spools are missing shipping costs for both the Canada and the US. What are the dimensions and service are you using in those listings?

Minimum dimensions

Domestic expedited and regular parcel

14cm x 9cm x .1cm

Tracket Packet USA

14cm x 9cm x .5cm

Expedited USA

21cm x 14 cm x .1cm

Re: invoicing problem

Just jumping in as I am consistently getting this error as well. I had two buyers from the US today telling me that they either can't pay for the item or they get the message "that the seller does not ship to my area."   My listings are consistent in that I always clearly indicate where I ship to. (all of the USA, for example).  It seems I then need to go into the invoice, update it manually and resend - BUT - I then get the same error message that the OP got. Super frustrating.

Re: invoicing problem

@htc_can

This thread is fairly old and I didn't read the whole thing again so not sure what info has already been given but usually when you get a message about an invoice not being able to be sent, it usually has been sent..the message is bogus.  To test that, check off to send an invoice to yourself at the same time. If you receive it, the buyer does too.

Most of the time you shouldn't have to send an invoice. In your case, about 9 of your listings are missing shipping costs for the US and other countries.  The majority of the time, that problem is caused because the numbers entered in dimension field are too small for the calculator to process for that service.  If you look at post 23, I give the  minimum dimensions that need to be entered for USA services. If any one of those numbers are too low, the calculator won't work for that item.

Which service (small packet, expedited parcel etc.) do you have stated to the US and to Europe for item 124355738348? What are the dimensions that you have entered?
