Just a bit of a giggle. Person with 0 feedback, registered 3 days ago and sends a message in lovely grammar "can u do a lowerprice or free shipping"
Respond with a nice no and thank for the interest. So I get follow up messages of
"even if u just do free shipping" (item is 800 grams to the US) and "pls" ...stil no go...
These don't bother me, I just get a bit of a chuckle. At least someone is looking!

When I get these my response normally is based on how "old" the item is in terms of how long it has been running.
New stuff gets "I'm sorry but can't offer a discount on this item at this time"
Older stuff gets something like "Because of high selling and shipping fees I really don't have much negotiating room, the best I can do is $$$ off" Where it is normally a small amount 5% or less, usually less.
Really old stuff (I've got stuff that has been running for 10 years) is determined on a case by case basis but would usually be more.
It is very surprising to me how many folks purchase from my new Zero discount and minimal discount items.
(PS at least you aren't getting a sob story behind whatever reason they'd have for having to get it cheaper.)

In this case it is something I know will move pretty easily. I have given a bit on items from emails like this, but as you say, it has to make sense. I also don't really like encourage these emails.
And a lot of folks seem to think free shipping is something magical we can do!

Q: what is ur lowest price pls negotiate against urself ty 👀
A: Please direct any offers to the 'best offer' feature in the listing. I am always more than happy to entertain any offers through that feature in the listing. If the 'best offer' feature is not enabled, I am unable to accept offers for this item at this time. Thank you for your interest.

LOL. I usually get about 1 of these every 2 weeks, up to 3 today including another fresh registrant with no feedback.
