"Late Shipping Rate" - things that make you go Hmmmmm

Since about mid-April, my US late shipping rate has risen from around 1% up to 1.79%, because of the US problems oftentimes discussed in other threads.

By some modern miracle my "global" shipping rate has been 0%

80% - 90% of my items are not tracked so my ratings are mostly based on the buyer advising late delivery. (I suspect the overseas folks are cutting me a break and are not answering when it is past the ebay predicted date).

What I have noticed during this time:

-overall sales are down as is being experienced by others as per other discussions

-US buyers rate has dropped dramatically

-Canadian buyers is a bit higher than normal

-international buyers from all the scary countries like Mexico and other Latin American countries, Israel etc is markedly higher, and lots of unusual countries like Grenada etc.

This leads me to believe that the late shipping rate does impact search visibility, because the "shipping domains" that have the good late shipping ZERO rate definitely seem to be outperforming the US one with bad shipping rate (the UK etc and Germany etc are also zero so far).

I would be interested to know if others have been watching their late shipping rate as sales have slowed down over the last few weeks and if their US sales rate has also dropped.....

My sales went from great in early May to terrible right now. Everything is shipped regular or oversize lettermail, primarily to Canada, U.S.  and the U.K with a few other developed countries mixed in. The most exotic destination in recent months was Barbados, not sure how that one happened as I've had most of the far-flung islands around the world blocked for most of the last year, Africa, Asia and S.A. too. My late shipment rate is 0 across the board.
