search on Ebay

Hi, I search regularly in "Sort by category" I enter "Canada" and in "All category" I select "Stamps". For some time I have noticed that the result gives "Auction" and "Auction" items with "Buy it Now" option only. There is never an item with "Good 'till Canceled" in these search results. Does anyone have an explanation. Thanks

I'm not sure.  When I put stamps in sort my category and type in Canada, I see 47000 results and just over 100 of them are auctions.  Just above the number of total listings showing do you have 'All listings' checked off?

Fixed Price/ Buy It Now is Good Til Cancelled.

The buyer doesn't see the GTC note, in part because all Fixed Price listings are GTC.

Hi, when I select the "Auction" button all items in the "Auction" style are sorted. With the button "Buy it Now" all items in the style "Auctions" with option "Buy it Now" are sorted and with the button "All listing" all these items are displayed. But there are never the items listed in GTC (Good 'till Cancelled) style. Yet there are hundreds of sellers who have stores with only "GTC", but no "Auction" style items. To see the "GTC" you have to do a specific search. I would like to see ALL the items offered when I do a more general search in the "Shop by Category" area. Thank you for your attention. Marcel

Are you searching with the ebay app or are you using a browser?

With a browser I see:

Selecting "Auctions" will show Auctions only

"Buy It Now" shows both Fixed Price (which are GTC listings) and Auctions that have a BIN option.

Hi ypdc_dennis, I use the Ebay app as you show. This app only sorts auction items with or without the "Buy it Now" option, for a duration of 10 days maximum. If you add a listing at a fixed price for a duration of 30 days (GTC duration), it will not be displayed with this app. You have to do a specific search to find it. rgards Marcel

I do not use the ebay app.

My search with a Firefox browser also shows fixed price stamp listings when Buy-It-Now is selected.

It might be that you have set one of your default search options to auction only. If that is in effect, selecting BIN would only show auctions with BIN.
