shipping question from Canada

Good Morning

I used to sell on ebay and then stopped.  I liste dmy ifrst item last week and it sold and i can see some of the changes but my question is specifically about shipping an item from Canada.

The buyer has paid for the shipping as well as the sales tax but when I look at the potential payout to my account ebay isnt putting the shipping costs in my account.  I see an option to print the shipping label but when I click on it the service is not available in Canada.

What am I missing?

Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

Did you check the details about the payout amount, it will give a breakdown. Have you been to the seller's hub?

Re: shipping question from Canada

Were you on dotCOM or dotCA?

The shipping choices on dotCOM are limited to use by US residents.

If you look for the same transaction on dotCA you should be able to print a Canada Post (or Canada-based courier) label.

When you decided to sell did you set up a Managed Payments account first?

EBay stupidly does not explain the necessity of this to new and occasional sellers.

You cannot get paid through Paypal any more. (You can still buy through PP.)

You should be able to buy Canada Post Tracked Packet USA through eBay Labels (if the package weighs less than 2kg).

If you can't, you will need to use the Canada Post website or visit a post office/outlet.

Do you have the free Canada Post Solutions for Small Business membership card? The card will give you some shipping discounts.

Re: shipping question from Canada

eBay takes the final value fees out right away so you should be seeing the total that the buyer paid LESS tax (if the tax is ebay collected) and less fvf.
