tranfering listings to other sites

i about two months ago i transferred all my listings (2500approx) to ebid  canada--- because of my  constant hassle with ebay not listening to my concerns and problems  -always just saying list more  which i did -- well they started ending all my listings at about 7/8 listings every other day while i uploaded 10 /12  every other day - so i decided to start over again - so i wanted to try ebid anyways -so i bulk transferred all 2500 listings to ebid while i started over with ebay  -- *****what a mistake**** bulk transferring every one of my listings  over to ebid ----every one of the listings was screwed up so i had to spend a month redoing all my listings on ebid and when fixed one by one transferred them back to ebay  very very very time consuming   so no other new listings have been done since i did this -- now that i have 2500 listings on ebid sales are slow  one a week there but at least

i am  getting sales

i now  have about 550 listings fixed and back on ebay from ebid and sales are slow but decent for me - one or two a week -- i still cannot list as many as i want -- and still cannot use promoted listings -- maybe after feb22 they said they will up my listings account i hope so -----i have 30/40 k worth of goods sitting on my garage floor doing nothing but collecting dust not to mention 25000 k worth of goods on ebid i would like to relist on ebay from ebid-

just reading here my problems are small compared to others -- just wish ebay would listen and help the little guy- --we would all do better--

I looked at a $333 and $666 listing.

Wow insulting real Pokémon collectors because they may not want a 20 year old can of pasta.

Way too much marketing hype crowds out the description. Too much blah blah blah.

Then a restocking fee on these expensive items.

And a no return policy which is not allowed by eBay. All the buyer has to do is open an Item Not Described case and you have to accept the return and pay return shipping.

Try being positive in your description and not aggressive negative.

very good possibility...

there's nothing encouraging about those statements... those somewhat harshly worded unprofessional statements would not bode well with ever so many buyers. That's like putting in large bold print "BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!"

Technically, eBay does allow a No Returns policy.

But a seller with that policy is setting himself up to have the unhappy customer's payment refunded without getting the disputed item back.

Because "No Returns" says you never want to see it again.

But even with a No Returns policy, the seller can demand the return. He will probably have to pay return postage though.

Does eBay have a policy that returns have to be packed carefully like as they were shipped so they arrive in tact?  I've never heard that mentioned. Another reason it makes it "difficult" when sellers are requested forwarding a return label except they are not the one in control of the goods and the box to be used for the return.

At a guess, dimensional pricing would make it difficult for the provided label to be used on that box. The sender would have to add a LOT of postage.

And PO clerks will question packages that are too rattly. I had that happen when I sent some pewter ornaments a month or so ago. They were fastened against breakage, but there was still some movement. The buyer was happy though.

If the provided label gets put (taped) on the box and dropping in the bin seller would be on the hook for a shoddy re-pack job and extra shipping charges. If the receiver went to the counter the postal station could bill them. Not sure how thrilled the dropper off'r would be?? Intl even more messy.

It's similar to what has listed for buyers responsibilities  currently in place when an item arrives damaged in transit and a claim inspection is required. As the original shipper, you are entirely at the whims of the receiver(buyer) at the other end and their level of cooperation.

Going back to the original post, I would be very surprised if you can transfer a set of listings directly to a competitor.   Nice if you can find a way but no obligation for any platform to facilitate that.

There are indeed selling sites that have an "importer tool" that provides the means to import eBay listings to that other site. I have used such,  but have found that the amount of changes needed to be make to each and every listing presentable and comply with the site to which they are being imported to, is not worth the time & effort. I abandoned the idea and simply just started from scratch and listed by working one listing at a time on the other sites....(I have done this with 1000+ items)

Although you cannot transfer your listings to a competitor, opening a selling account on Bonanza will allow you to display your listings there at lower final value fees. Bonanza automates the listing transfer each time you add a new listing and ends it on eBay when sold on their site.

Do you know what an importer tool is? Listings can be imported to some sites from eBay...Some sites do have that ability...that method of "transferring" listings to another site just isn't very useful.

and why are we discussing B.. site???...why would anyone want to open an account on B ...a pay to play site  that has no traffic just to add more problems, more issues, more fees...

OP made reference to eBid . OP was discussing issues with exporting eBay listings to eBid ...and now trying to re-establish self on eBay...

thanks for the input heard about these programs but didn't know how to operate them  but i just used ebid transfer program made for ebay transfers to ebid   and since they are owned by ebay i thought it would work well -- well i guessed wrong -- still trying to fix those listings  on ebid -- it is what it is -- not sure what  you mean about the account on b -- this ebid site works well just not the numbers ebay has thats for sure -- but it works and i sell things while i fixed my ebay site ---- good news is ebay has reinstated  as of feb 22 me almost  all my full  listings allotment-- and i am using promoted listings again so iam trying to transfer from ebid to ebay  the fixed listings  as i fix them to get back to my old sales i had before everything  screwed up

good news on the horizon i guess ---

I have used the importer tool for other sites so I do know about them and although one would think they should save a seller time and effort in listing, they just don't and that's what renders them nearly useless. Oh and don't worry  about the comments regarding the Bonz site as my comments were in response to another poster who was slying trying to promote that site and encourage us to set up an account on it. Been there done that many years ago> never again!

BTW, I do know about having to work oneself back to oringinal eBay status(I did not list/sell for over 6 months during 2021, and had to start all over again with the listing limits/restrictions/payment holds)

...and it sucks but patience pays off...

Successful sales has speeded up the process.I no longer have any payment holds and my listing limits are nearly back to where they were...
