Neither.
Sorry. You kept all the clutter, templates, and bafflegab in the second one. The TOS is unreadable.
The average buyer has less than a grade 10 comprehension level. The average seller, my observation, is considerably higher than that.
My TOS?
Refund: Money back.
Yeah, three words and I sometimes think that is too complex.

I'd like to think my comprehension level ( far) exceeds grade 10 level. but I also think Mr. E. is (nearly;) ) always right, so I really don't know what to think now, LOL!
In any case, it appears Brande works weekends in one listing, and takes weekends off in the other!
Personally, I like uncluttered, to the point, listings, no matter what my level of comprehension!

In both listings there is redundant and conflicting info. Under the shipping tab in one listing it states 3 days handling time but the body of the listing says 2 days. Also one of the listing states a 14 day return time in one area and 30 days in another area.
Since most media sellers use the ebay catalogue I think that it would be better to leave that in as people get used to looking there for information. I admit I don't buy dvd's etc online so that's just a guess. But in both listings the majority of your product description is already in the item details and/or in the catalogue information so there is really no need for that product description.
Also, much of the information about shipping and returns is already under the shipping tab so there is no need to repeat those either.
I have a feeling that for that type of product very few scroll past the catalogue info but if you feel the need to put something in your template area, then keep it simple and easy to read.
Sorry I know that you didn't ask for that type of critique...but I am trying to be helpful.

All my listings got messed up when i did Find and Replace it turn all my 1 in to 2's blah blah .. Then one llisting above has been updated to what I want everything to look like which is why you see it once Listing I take weekends off because even though I work on it all the time I don't want buyers to think I live on here so if I want to breath i can ...
The underworld listing will be different from everyone in my store because I changed everything in it including times and hrs etc...
I just want to once and for all change things and keep them
All Critique is good ...

i guess should of been a little clearer too .. Underworld listing is where I am thinking of going and the other listing is what they all look like right now ..
Ebay cataloque never has Audio option in it so I always add my own ....
In Grade 6 I could read my listing and understand it all so Grade 10 education is fine with me LOL..
I do need to remove some more I think but I wish my category had NEW SEE OTHER DETAILS..
i have about 8 blu ray titles i have that are new but not sealed and it is just like new open box type of deal.. They have all Reg artwork and disc was never used but in most cases the blu ray cases were cracked so got replaced ..
I know I would never lie about my product and i have a used section so it irritates me why I don't have a New See other details options ....
Anyways I guess i am wondering which one works best,.... ebay's cataloque has let me down more then once and both descriptions together is too much ...
Almond your a great person and a good customer ... What would you prefer to see my listing look like .. Keep in mind the difference like # of days etc will be different as I changed the underworld movie to what I wanna do ...

eBay Live, Chicago, 2008. On the convention floor there was a "listing make-over" booth. You signed up and Jennifer P, senior marketing manager, would take a listing of yours and re-do it as per eBay best practises.
Title, use all 80 spaces. Repeat the title in the descrition. Use bullet points.
If you insist on verbiage, words of 1-2 syllables, 7-10 word sentences, 2 sentence paragraphs.
Do not use templates. Do not use coloured fonts. Do not use fancy script fonts.
Simple black on white draws the most sales at the highest prices.
Skip the whole TOS thingee as no-one reads it, it clutters up the listing, is not enforceable.
When she done with my listing It was like I had been smacked upside the head by a Polar Bear. She asked if I wanted it left as revised or returned to it's original worthless style. Apparently, many "sellers" do not like their personal reality treated like an over turned apple cart.
I had here leave it with the following statement: "Do you realize what you have done? My sales will double." My sales doubled with best practises.
I would email her periodically. The address went dead after a few years. I surmise she moved on. Meeting the real eBay team? They are young and scary smart. What we all see in decisions, and changes, is not who the people are. Certainly not the Peggies from CS.

No I know they are decent but Instead of closing this year I have changed things around and am now stepping it up so I need to push my product like a Hustler this year...
I just placed 1 order 9 titles roughly 6000 copies and that was only 20% of my orders this month so I need everything short sweet and sexy to sell sell sell ..
03-01-2013 02:24 AM
That listing does look better!
I do have a suggestion though. You have..
.
All applicable Taxes will be charged during checkout as per your Province
No Tax charged on International purchases
The second statement worries me as someone might take it that they will not have to pay taxes to customs. The chance of someone thinking that might be slim but I don't think the statement is necessary at all as the sentence before it specifies provinces....or you could put that all applicable taxes will be charged during checkout for all shipments within Canada.

Good call PJ I was actually going over that a few timesa and wasn't sure but now I am .. I will change it .. Thanks a bunch

Brande,
One small suggestion. Consider adjusting your eBay Store Listing Frame settings to display a search box for your store in the header. I'm sure you won't mind shoppers using that to find other specific titles they are looking for.
I'll also add to this general discussion that using item listings as vehicles for personal expression has given the use of templates a bad rap. When it is necessary to share larger amounts of information with shoppers, a well designed template divides content into sections and helps produce easier to read text.
Hope this helps,
Rob
