Hi Alex,
Yes, that's what this is. Very likely that this item has been listed for a while and the seller would need to re-upload the image for it to show in Search.

Good morning Raphael.
As you stated above the issue with email marketing for my eBay store (on eBay.ca) has not yet been solved.
It has been going on for eleven days.
Why does it take eBay so long to identify a technical issue, correct it and advise the member accordingly.
Can you imagine you having a problem with your cable, your internet, your phone, your hydro, or any other service and not getting a reply and solution after eleven days.
And you are raising the monthly cost of having an eBay store by 25%!
That is NOT the type of service eBay should provide to its members. You guys can so better than that. You guys must do better than that.
Many Canadian sellers here are getting tired of hearing excuses why technical problems are not identified and corrected promptly. I am one of them.
04-13-2016 11:08 AM
I think I know why it is doing that. It is because the seller is not uploading any photos. They just upload a plain generic photo, then it never uses a photo. I accidentally did it once and it emailed my saying that I didn't upload anything.
----
My other question...it is about the Spring Update..
Will eBay go through everyone's listings and cut them down to 800 characters, or will we have to do this ourselves? I was guessing that a bot would come through sometime and get rid of whatever it does not like...or will the new rule only apply to new listings?

What is the status of Turbo Lister?
In the eBay.ca Canada weekly session forum, Turbo Lister was stated as no longer maintained, whatever that means.

post 87
Turbo Lister isn't maintained anymore but is still available to use and as Rodney said, is built to work via the eBay API, which means that the program itself doesn't need to get updated in order to keep up with changes we make to the selling flows. I don't know of any plans to retire it as I write this, but I would guess that it would be the next thing that happens to it.
What does this mean? Retire it? Will the new Seller Hub have features (backup) to replace it?
I asked the above in the eBay.com Tools & Aps forum the above because I had read no confirming information in the USA forums.

A member contacted eBay TL support and the reply was posted in the above topic.
Hi John,
This is a follow up to your question the other day of whether or not Turbo Lister will be supported for eBay CA members.
We contacted our developers about the message on the Community Boards and found that this was in error. The post should be corrected sometime soon. At this point in time, we have no plans to discontinue Turbo Lister for any site. When or if these plans come to light, there would be a general announcement about it for all sellers to see.
I'm sorry for any confusion. Please let us know if you need further help.
Sincerely,
Suzanne S.
eBay Customer Support
The above says TL will not be discontinued without announcement. This post does not answer the question of supported. The original TL post says TL is not maintained but will function. Does not maintained mean not supported? How can a program be not maintained and continue to function in a year? Especially a Windows based program that must rely on the Windows environment to run. Microsoft changes their Windows code all the time and TL uses components of Internet Explorer to function and Internet Explorer is changed too by Microsoft so I cannot see TL functioning without maintenance for long.
Very confused as to the direction of TL.

What happened to the issues I reported about
1) eBay Selling Limits not being counted correctly.
2) Delivery time estimates being different in the Shipping and Payments tab that the Order Details page.
3) No Local Pickup for calculated shipping.
Since these issues have not been added to your opening list, how are we supposed to keep track of them. Probably more forgotten issues like the above.

Hi Pierre,
Your feelings about this are totally fair. I wish I could answer these questions. If I could fix this problem myself, I would have done so 11 days ago.
I have reached out to the team that owns that product again and asked for an update.

No one's descriptions are getting cut to 800 characters. You can still write your description as long as you wish, provided it doesn't use active content.
The character count limits are for the new description summary. it's limited to 250 characters if eBay pulls the summary automatically from your listing and 800 characters if you either specify what your summary should be using HTML tags or if you write a text only description that is 800 characters or less.

Hi pocomo,
I thought I answered this last week...
Rodney was wrong when he said this about TL. I think he confused it with Blackthorne which was decommissioned a few years ago.
TL is still being maintained, of course, so that it keeps working with eBay as we make changes to the site. But as far as I know that is all that is done to it, there probably aren't going to be enhancements made to it.

The ticket I had opened for this has been closed by PD. Do you still see a problem?

This was added to my list, and taken off. It wasn't an issue. The day discrepancy you saw was due to the time zone difference. The buyer saw the right date on their end.
@pocomocomputing wrote:

This isn't a bug per se. I still don't know what the logic is there but all sites work this way.

Oh, really? I thought that the descriptions were getting cut. That shows what I know 🙂
The description summary is a new thing? Is it similar to the condition description?

Hello Raphael,
If the seller places store on vacation let's say for one week, and keeps listings available for purchases and proper days of absence are displayed...
Will computer know to estimate the anticipated arrival dates taking into consideration the vacation, i.e. delayed shipments?
Thank you
04-13-2016 12:56 PM
Hi Raphael, this is a bit of a rant but I want people at ebay to be aware of the time it takes to implement ebay changes.
Most of my time is spent trying to jump through the ebay hoops. I have over a 1,000 listings and with each change I waste my time getting my listings to conform to ebay changes rather than listing the 10,000 more I do have.
For instance taking 2 minutes for each listing multiplying that by 1000, it takes me 16 hours to update my current listings.
Changes that I can remember (and there are many more):
Each change that ebay implements wastes my time. Why can’t ebay just slow down on the changes.

Also any news when "economy shipping" will be available for US and international on the listing form?

Yes it's a new thing and similar to the condition description, in that it'll show up at the top of the page where buyers can see it without scrolling down.

Hi block36,
I would think the system won't expect you to ship items while you're on vacation, but I wasn't able to find a clear answer on this. I have asked the Standards team, and will update this post when I get an answer.

No. The vacation mode by itself will not do anything to change the estimated arrival dates. If you are going away for just a couple of days you could increase your handling time. Otherwise, it's best to hide your listings while you're gone so that people cannot make a purchase.
