Can someone tell me why some prices are italics and other are not?

When I do a search some of the prices are in italics and other are not and I haven't been able to fiqure out why?  Maybe someone knows?  And it is not every second one is italics, I checked into that too.

The ones in italics don't end in a '9'. The others do. ($8.99, $8.49)

Something to do with the currency of listing perhaps?

No see this one all different.  Just seems strange to me?

I then thought it was where they were selling from;  that's not it either, I think it is because the ones in italics are actually selling in something other than US $.  I may be wrong, but I have never noticed that before.

I think that I figured it out.  If the listing is in italics it is not in the currency of that ebay site.  For  instance on ebay.com all non US currency listings would be in italics and the listing on .com using US$ would not be.  On ebay.ca, all listing in Cdn $ are not in italics but the ones listing in US $ are.  

I have just never noticed it before, maybe because all my listings were in US$ before.
