Well Canada Post commented on the Click and Ship
This NEW system allows you from the Canada Post site , too imput your credit card (without Canada Post Account). It will then print a Canada Post Paid packing slip
You then take it too any Canada Post depot and ship the item
How useless
1) Canada Post insists on having you manually type in your customs address all the time (no copy paste)....While other companies have found ways of allowing less typing . Canada Post likes too see me type and type
2)The program is slow
3) I can write onto a shipping manifest faster then the PDF file prints
4) while you can use your paypal credit card (save 1.5% on shipping )a couple times . Paypal only allows you 15 transactions a day with the card .....
GIVE IT A TRY AND YOUR COMMENTS

TOdd , I have been using this method for a long time and I love it.
I just bring up my paypal information in a window and copy and paste all the information in an am done in undera minute. You be fast with a pen. I also like the the clear envelope to stick it on your package. CanadaPost rocks? well mayby not but it saves me a lot of time.

We are talking about a different programs as this program on Canada Post came out 2 weeks ago . It also does not allow you too copy and past a full address . But just a section of an address at a time
Also the PDF file is really slow ...........to print the document for shipping . The time it takes for it to build up too printing it . I have writen the address onto the manifest and moved onto the next package

What's the point of using it if you can get the PS discount of ~30% on parcels in Canada and use Online EST (or the desktop which is much faster).

I tried just for the heck of it.... It takes for ever to fill in the fields. It does save your shipping from address for the next time though. The printed document was fine had no issues printing the pdf document on my printer. Easy to follow instructions. But Javax is right, I can get a better rate at the counter.

Doesn't look like this Click N Ship was designed for businesses. Better to stick to the online EST - No manifests to mess around with.
Luckily I'm a fast typist - you're right that CP really is set up against slow typists. If I couldn't type I'd have given it up a long time ago.
The desktop version of EST won't run on my PC so I haven't been able to try it out. CP told me it was a problem with my PC despite the fact that everything else I have ever installed runs with no problem. They refuse to address their shoddy programming and I refuse to overhaul my system to try to adapt to their bug-riddled desktop program. The web interface isn't that great either but it works well enough to stick with it until I can ship from the U.S. and use Endicia.
Cheers,
Ernie.

Javax, I'm relatively new to the Powerseller world, but have been shipping using Canada Post EST for a while now. How do I qualify for that 30% discount you were speaking of?

Thanks Javax. Sad that ebay does not make this very clear for us new Powersellers. In fact, before today I had never seen the PS homepage. Cheers!
