How do I wait for seller's invoice without proceeding to paypal?

I've put items in the cart, proceeded to checkout, and want to wait for an invoice from the seller, but it seems I must proceed to paypal and pay for items to complete the transaction. Is there a way to wait for invoice before paying?

Unless you have purchased several items from the same seller, you don't need an invoice. Just pay and the seller will ship. All the necessary information is there at checkout.

that's the problem i'm having, I had about 10 items from the same seller (ebay store) in the cart, proceeded to checkout, and wanted an invoice with combined shipping, and could not find how, I've paid ridiculous full shipping charges on everything. I really need help figuring this out or my ebay shopping days are over. Way too expensive shipping without being combined. I contacted the seller prior to filling the cart (because was my first time with several items) and they told me to just go ahead with the purchase, but wait for an invoice. But when I did this, the transaction could not be completed unless I paid !!!! and I did, hoping for them to adjust it, but now it's marked as shipped, and I paid full shipping on every item. Help me please for the next time
